What you can expect

Departure time: I recommend departing early in the morning around 9:00 AM to have plenty of time to enjoy the trip.
Equipment: A inflatable dinghy with all necessary safety features (life jackets), drinks. Distance: The journey from Zadar to Dugi Otok takes about an hour, depending on the speed of the boat. You can explore the coastline, swim in the clear waters, and enjoy the privacy of the area. If you want, you can hike up to the Veli Rat Lighthouse, one of the most famous on the Adriatic, and enjoy the view. Second destination: Sakarun Beach
Distance: Sakarun is about a 20-minute ride from Veli Rat.
What to do: This beach is famous for its white sand and turquoise waters. It’s perfect for swimming and relaxing. If you’d like, you can bring a snorkel and explore the underwater world. Sakarun is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy unspoiled nature.
Lunch on Dugi Otok:
Recommendation: On Dugi Otok, you can enjoy local specialities. If you’d like a meal by the shore, you can stop at one of the restaurants near Sakarun or Soline, where you can taste fresh fish and seafood.
