(624 reviews) We recently spent 4 nights at the PortoBay Teatro. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Porto, an easy 10 minute walk from Trinidad metro station and a few minutes from São Bento train station. Check in was easy and the staff polite and informative, our room was very clean with everything you need for a short stay, a comfortable bed, complimentary water daily and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. As with other reviews the bathroom arrangement might not suite everyone’s taste, there is no door separating it from the bedroom area, but there are separate (glass)doors for the toilet and shower. Breakfast was exceptional, the quality of the food excellent with a wide range of cooked and continental choices, cereal and pastries. We didn’t use the onsite restaurant by it seemed to be popular. Overall, a great hotel, we would stay there again if we return to Porto. The decoration of the rooms continue with the same ambiance created in the lobbies. The location is superb! The hotel is in the middle of everything and within a short walk to a lot of the touristic attractions. There is a very nice Italian restaurant called La Ricotta nearby which is definitely worth trying. Would most certainly stay again!
