This was my first time visiting Colombia, and being 5 minutes walk away from the Clock tower & Walled City- the location was perfect! Breakfast was tasty, though I opted for the traditional scrambled eggs, coffee and toast. No complaints there. Rooftop pool was amazing! The views were nostalgic and it really added a nice touch to the property. The luxury room was a little smaller than I expected from the pics online; but comfortable nonetheless. I travelled with my friend celebrating her birthday who stayed nearby, so not technically solo but my lodging was. Safety wasn’t an issue for me in this area. (1,001 reviews) We booked a suite. The air-conditions smelled. The view was very good. It was very noisy from 5 am to 11 pm because of the aircraft. The strip of the airport was very near so you could not talk each other when a plane startet. The stuff was friendly but most of them don´t speak english. There were Palm Trees at the beach directly at the Hotel but you couldn´t use the shade of the trees because there were no sun beds, just at the pool. The Hotel have had two Bech bars but they were at no time open. Just the bars at the Lobbys inside, two poolbars (very noisy) and one on the roof top (also very noisy). Jusqu’à ce séjour, nous n’avions jamais été pleinement satisfaits dans les hôtels Sofitel. Nous occupions une suite junior dans l’aile coloniale (historique). Compte tenu des contraintes inhérentes à la rénovation d’un bâtiment ancien, la chambre était très satisfaisante : la climatisation était parfaitement efficace pour contrer la chaleur extérieure, le matelas (grâce à son surmatelas) offrait un excellent confort, la suite avait une bonne dimension et l’emplacement de l’établissement est parfait pour visiter la ville. À noter toutefois : les chambres donnant sur l’entrée peuvent être bruyantes en soirée, en raison du petit parc situé en face de l’hôtel (la musique s’arrête vers 23 h). Les chaises longues autour de la piscine sont prises rapidement, mais le personnel aide activement les clients à trouver une place, de manière proactive. Le petit-déjeuner buffet est délicieux et particulièrement copieux. Enfin, le service d’Edouardo T., au restaurant, a été irréprochable : avenant, discret et attentif. Son professionnalisme mérite d’être souligné.
