We didn’t have to go anywhere else because all our needs were taken care of right here. The customer service was excellent, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would especially like to recognize Mauricio for his outstanding service. He was professional, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return in the future.

I would come back to Casa Claver in a heartbeat. It was perfect for our family of 5. Clean and very comfortable. Close to everything in the walled city. It was nice to have the rooftop pool to cool off in the afternoons. Breakfast was delicious! Benjamin and James at the reception are amazing hosts. They speak English, and are very helpful. Thank you, Casa Claver! We will definitely be back.

The hotel is nothing like what’s described on Expedia. The buildings look old, and the rooms feel dusty and outdated. There are no real amenities in the room—just two glass bottles of water, and it’s unclear whether they’re being refilled or replaced. The “all‑inclusive” offering is also misleading. The buffet is open for breakfast and lunch with the same menu every day. Dinner service is inconsistent; although the buffet was open on my arrival day (Sunday), it was closed the following evening. Guests are required to make reservations for dinner at one of the on‑site restaurants and reservations are difficult to secure due to constant “fully booked” notices on the website. On a positive note, the hotel’s beachfront location, along with the availability of chairs and umbrellas, made for a relaxing day by the water. The multiple pools were also a highlight. Those parts were enjoyable, but overall the stay did not match what was advertised.

We had a great time. We stayed for a week and got to experience most of what the resort has to offer. We came with two little kids under two and glad we were put on the first floor and had a big family room. Moving around was hard work with a stroller because there’s lot of stairs and not enough ramps. The buffet food had lot of options to choose from. Some are hits and some misses. The restaurants had good food. My main issue was with communication. This was my birthday trip and I let the staff know during check in and asked what they offered for birthdays; I was told it was handled and during my dinner, no one was aware and I had to tell them it was my birthday. We weren’t told about the schedules or how anything worked, maybe it’s the language barrier. We had to figure things out and makeout what the pamphlet said. However we loved the overall staff from the restaurants to the lobby and overall services. Everyone is very patient and friendly. By the time we had to go the staff honestly felt like family. They knew our names and kids names. Really a great crew.

The hotel offers a beautiful sea view, and most of the staff were friendly; while some waiters were very pleasant, others were not quite as welcoming. Outside the hotel, vendors ask where you are from, and upon learning you are a foreigner, they charge double or even triple for products, massages, or excursions. Fortunately, hotel staff warn you to be careful, and the police are also always looking out for tourists.
