You will be just a short 18 min drive to Joshua Tree National Park Visitors Center, 3 min to Old Town Yucca Valley, and 35 min to Palm Springs. Beautiful, Quiet, and Peaceful

We had a marvelous stay. The house was perfect, and the desert surroundings were gorgeous. We enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub and spent some time in Joshua Tree. Great spot! Would definitely book again.

Our stay was perfect. The place was better than expected. Clean and comfortable and the greatest hospitality from our host. Easy communication back and forth. Amazing place to stay from the inside out! We visited for Fourth of July weekend and although it was really hot we still had the best time. This house is perfectly styled and accommodates everything you need to have a relaxing but fun time. I highly recommend 100/10

Pros:- Incredible views!- Host was responsive.- Comfortable beds.Cons:- The road is not easy to drive on to get to the street of the house, during a strong rainstorm we had to wait it out as there was a river flowing down.- Hard water in the house, so the dishwasher didnt clean the dishes. Had to rewash all the dishes by hand.- Outside patios are unusable in the daytime sun as its really hot, no shade.- Hot tub was dirty with sand / dirt, so we never used it.

Lovely home with a gorgeous view

A lovely home where we felt very comfortable to hangout, hot tub, play games, and it’s a short driving distance to Joshua Tree National Park for hikes. It was such a great vacation. We did drive up to the house in the evening and did get lost for a quick second. Also the roads are unpaved as you get close to the home, I suggest having an SUV/CRV. Overall a five star experience.

It’s better than the photos!

My fiancé, our family and I stayed for 4 nights and it wasn’t nearly enough. The views were breathtaking and the house was extremely cozy. The location of this property was perfect, close to everything while still giving that remote feeling. I would definitely recommend booking this property. It’s also important to mention that Gretchen is an excellent host, very accommodating and reachable. The hot tub and star gazing surpassed any and all of our expectations, we will be back! Thank you Gretchen !!

Amazing House

This house is exactly what you see. Beautiful and peaceful is how I would describe it. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you would need. Close to Joshua Tree National Park. Just be advised that the road leading to the house is a minimum maintenance road so you should have an higher clearance vehicle but I did see van and cars make it through. We really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing Retreat close to Joshua Tree Park

Please don't hesitate to book. I tend to over analyze and was a little overwhelmed by the amount of options for VRBO's in Joshua Tree so let me save you the trouble and tell you this property is amazing. Close to everything but not right in the city lights so the stars are unreal. The host has exquisite taste you feel like your at a luxury resort and not just someones second home. She has thought of every little detail such as robes in all the closets, a children's crib, and toys.

Great spot up on the hills of Yucca Valley

What a great spot! We loved how clean, well appointed and well cared for the property was. Our host was kind, prompt and very helpful. The five acre private lot is up on the hill with gorgeous views from inside and out. It is only 15ish minutes to Joshua Tree Nat’l Park entrance and also near to groceries and restaurants. We loved the hot tub after cold hikes! Be sure to make sure that your vehicle can handle the last 1/4 mile up to the property. (The host could help you with this.)

So peaceful and tranquil! Amazing views night and day!

Beautiful location in the high desert! Lovely during the day to sit on the chairs or hammocks outside and watch the bunnies and birds but even better at night. I loved peaceful gazing at the starry skies and twinkling city lights. The property has many Joshua trees and beautiful purple prickly pear cactus. Beautifully decorated with modern furnishings the house has everything you need to feel comfortable. The host Gretchen could not have been nicer or more responsive. House is a short drive to Joshua tree national park and near good restaurants and coffee shops. I will definitely be back. One thing to note the road directly to the place is a bit bumpy and unpaved but should be no problem for most cars if you take it slow.

Beautiful stay near JTNP

Property was very nice as advertised. Only thing is cleanliness of kitchen sink could've been better but that was very minor. Well equipped home and locatiin beautiful. As advertised, last maybe thousand feet of road to home was rough, but still passible. Would stay here again.

Stay in the desert

A wonderful bungalow in the desert. The only negative was the unpaved road and driveway into the property is challenging in a normal-clearance automobile. It is doable in our Subaru, but may not be possible in a lower clearance car

Quiet get away not far from park entrance

Check was relatively easy however the property is located off of a tiny dirt road with no lights so I recommend getting there before sundown as it can get a bit tricky. The property is really clean, had a great layout and felt like a cozy and comfortable environment to relax in. We visited Nov 18-20 and it was absolutely frigid at night and the only bummer our group experienced is that the fire pit outside is propane and the fire does not give off nearly enough heat to be able to sit outside and star gaze at night. Other than that this was an absolutely amazing property which I would absolutely consider staying at again.
