We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful house in Kirkwood, NY. The home was incredibly relaxing and fully stocked with everything we needed— from a well-equipped kitchen to plenty of linens and bathroom essentials. The best part? The river was literally our backyard! We loved using the kayaks and sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. The back porch was another favorite spot, especially with its lovely dining tables perfect for outdoor meals. The house is conveniently close to Binghamton, with supermarkets, restaurants, and great hiking trails nearby. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back! Not sure if this is normal, but the inside of the house was filled with flies. Like, an absurd amount. Spent much of the first day just trying to kill them. Somewhat successful but they were still around on day 4\. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious, and kitchen is absolutely lovely despite the flies. Outside offers many amenities. Decks and chairs on multiple levels to enjoy the views. Beautiful at sunset. Unfortunately, the amount of goose poop kind of kept us from spending a lot of time outdoors. It was literally everywhere. There's also a big drop-off from the property to the river. I took my somewhat-elderly father and son hoping they would be able to fish right off the property, but they weren't able to get down there. Would probably be a piece of cake for most folks, though. We enjoyed the fire pit, grill, and eating outside on the deck. There is no formal table seating, but enough stools on the big island if you need to eat indoors.
