Wawona is inside Yosemite National Park, near the south entrance, Highway 41, and near the Mariposa Grove. Enjoy swimming holes in the South Fork of the Merced River which is right down the road, hiking to Chilnualna Falls, the historic Wawona Hotel and golf course, Wawona stables, and Swinging Bridge. Wawona is an hour drive to the Yosemite Valley attractions. Guests are not required to make park reservations while staying in the park. It’s nice and quiet, allowing for much needed decompression from hectic life. We were pleased to see the new stove/oven and dishwasher. The window A/C in the master was a nice bonus upgrade as well. Clean, great AC, comfy beds, well stocked, perfect for traveling with dogs, and great location!
