Tastefully modernised to a high standard this cosy hideaway includes features such as pine panelled doors, underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls. The thoughtfully decorated sitting room with period fireplace leads you through to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area with integrated appliances and granite work surfaces, perfect for spending time together around the dining table after a busy day exploring the North York Moors. The stairs lead you to the first floor, home to the large master bedroom over looking the front of the cottage and of course views across the Ampleforth valley and hills beyond. The single second bedroom offers rear garden and woodland views for a peaceful outlook. Both have access to the delightful spacious family shower room. Outside the front garden is laid to lawn featuring a large stone-flagged sun terrace. The rear enclosed garden with woodland to the back has a stone paved area and steps leading to the elevated seating area, the highest one having those special views to be savoured over a glass of wine or morning coffee. Enjoy a romantic night out in one of the many eateries near by including the Black Swan at Oldstead just four miles away. A Michelin-starred pub made famous by Tommy Banks, who also has the Michelin- starred Roots at York or pop along to The White Swan, just a two minute walk away. Perfect for bar food and space to eat outside on a balmy summer evening. Ground Floor: Sitting room With a Gazco Electric Stove, comfortable seating, Smart television with chrome cast, books and games. Open-plan kitchen and dining area With electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing/dryer and dining table seating three guests. First Floor: Master bedroom With a 5' king-size bed. Bedroom two With a 4'small double bed. Family shower room With a walk-in shower, wash basin vanity unit, WC and heated towel rail. Outside: Patio area to the front with seating for two guests. The sloping rear garden leads to an elevated seating area for two guests. Parking for one car on the roadside next to the cottage. Additional Information Welcome hamper on arrival. Sorry, no pets. Children eight years and over are welcome. Sorry, no infants, however a baby up to six months is welcome in own Moses Basket/cot.
