The cottage was very clean, comfortable and convenient. The three most important factors to me. The beds were very comfortable and the location to the beach was nice and close to catch that spectacular sunrise every morning. We loved walking the beach and to local restaurants too. We love to walk so we were able to park the car and get easily to beach, restaurants, ice cream and short sands. The cottage is off the main road so it was quiet and we really enjoyed having the air conditioner! It was just enough to take the edge off the few hot, sticky days we had in July. Walking distance to pretty everything beach and town wise. Bring face cloths and a few towels. Four towels for three people for a week stay just don’t cut it. It was a short walk to long sands and we didn’t have to the hassle of searching for parking, close to the bathhouse too. The size of the cottage was perfect, we were able to make our meals and had plenty of space. We traveled for my 40th birthday and York has always been my “happy place” and I am so happy we went. The cottage was perfect for our family of four with two little ones and the distance to the beach was awesome. A very short walk to long sands beach and beautiful homes to check out on the way. The property had all of the essentials such as towels, dish soap, sponges, bowls, plates, etc but didn’t have any frills compared to staying at other places.
