An amazing hotel, great staff.

Having travelled to almost 90 countries, this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff were amazingly attentive, the rooms of the highest standards of cleanliness and amenities. Breakfast was a la carte and ordered / cooked to our needs.

This property is located adjacent to the historical district, where the colonial era properties are located. The hotel is a completely remodeled historical building in and of itself, beautifuly done and completely modern, with two great restaurants. The staff could not have been more helpful with tours and answering questions which any first time visitor to Yangon might have. The elevator servicing the hotel is a piece of industrial art, completely modern but with glass walls and wrought iron decor. This is a quiet, modern, and convenient boutique hotel in every sense with a great staff.

Excellent. Very clean with good service. Only Downside is that the road leading to the hotel may be congested at times, but traffic in Yangon is generally quite bad.

Beautiful architecture and attention to detail. An oasis in a pretty ordinarily part of downtown Yangon. Staff great, very comfortable rooms.

I never review anything as I travel a lot and am rarely impressed enough to bother. Have to hand it to the team here. Everything was spot on. Extremely comfortable stay. Well done. I’ll be back.

A very chic and stylish hotel with the most hospitable staff. Its location’s at downtown so it’s very convenient. We just used Grab to catch taxis and it basically costs less than US$3 to go anywhere (except the airport which is slightly further). We would highly recommend Excelsior to anyone visiting Yangon!

Fantastic Stay

Fantastic hotel, wonderful service, enormous and well decorated rooms. Well manicured hotel, as all details are accounted for and superbly executed. Would highly recommend.

The feel of this hotel is amazing and transports you to another time -- it has an un-stuffy feeling of grandeur, with vaulted ceilings, and elegant and clever decor, down the the last detail. The staff, who were wonderfully dressed to fit the 'news paper' theme of the hotel, was outstanding, the massages at the spa were the best I've had anywhere, and the food was excellent (contrary to a review I read elsewhere, that said the food was in small portions and pricey, I found the food to be plentiful and very reasonably priced.) I'm seriously considering taking a trip back to Yangon for the sole purpose of staying in the hotel again.

The property is beautifully restored and designed, but what makes the experience special is the staff who are delightful, helpful and warm. I would stay here again next time I'm in Yangon!
