The house is easy to find, but still feels relatively private. The host is extremely responsive and friendly! The house is beautifully decorated in PNW and native motifs, and has a perfect mix of modern and cozy furniture and amenities. The main bedroom is huge, and the primary bathroom is massive, well-lit, very clean, and the huge shower is modern and luxurious. The king bed is very comfortable with new pillows and hotel-quality bedding.The hosts have thought of everything, with every basic amenity you can need. The couch is comfortable for curling up and watching a movie, and the gas furnace heats up the space in a jiffy. The kitchen is beautiful, updated, and the drawers and cupboards are clearly labeled with everything in it's place. Don't miss out on the hot tub! It's definitely a perk! The house is dog friendly, which made a huge difference for us (we love to bring our pup with us). They supply dog bowls, beds, and poop bags - but otherwise, there are no signs that other pets have been there (very clean and well-kept). There's a great grocery store in Hoodsport, with everything you need to eat. Just 10 minutes away. It was rainy and cool during our short stay, but there are endless opportunities for hiking, kayaking, fishing, and other outdoor activities in the area. The hosts supply a parking pass for nearby parks, which is yet another thoughtful touch. The first thing that stood out was how welcoming and Christmassy the house felt. The house was decorated throughout with fun and cozy Christmas decor and it really helped to extend our Christmas spirit! Our hosts also thoughtfully left some Christmas sweet treats for us to enjoy (which we did - thank you). Beyond that, the house was incredibly well-appointed, with everything you could hope for in the kitchen and games galore for our family to enjoy. The welcome book contained a helpful guide to the house and surrounding area. It was a short 5 minute walk to the lake and the local shops were about a 15 minute drive away. Our hosts were very communicative and check-in was super easy. The only negative was that the couches smelled really strongly of fabric scented spray - probably because this is a dog-friendly rental which is understandable. We would love to return and spend more time exploring in warmer months and we would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to explore Lake Cushman."
