With four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and room for up to twelve guests, this beautifully updated A-frame retreat is ideal for family vacations, group getaways, or a quiet escape to nature. Inside, you’ll find a bright and open living space with soaring ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a cozy three-sided wood-burning fireplace. The fully stocked kitchen features upgraded stainless steel appliances and flows into both the dining area and a high-top table—perfect for entertaining and gathering. The main-level primary bedroom includes a king bed and private deck access, while three upstairs bedrooms offer a mix of queen, full, and twin-over-twin bunk beds. There’s a full bathroom on each level, plus child safety gates at the top of both indoor and outdoor stairs for added peace of mind. Outside, a spacious deck overlooks the lake and leads to your private beach, dock, and firepit area. Spend the day swimming, fishing (gear included), or paddling the lake with a canoe and three kayaks. The flat backyard is great for volleyball, games, or just relaxing on the lakeside swing. In the evening, roast marshmallows by the fire and take in the sunset views. Our group stayed at a different cabin last year for the Wentzville Renaissance Faire and wanted something bigger for this year and we were so lucky to find the Dragonfly! The beds were comfy and the couch was perfect to settle in for a movie night. I had a couple of questions at booking and our host was so quick, friendly, and helpful with his responses. I noticed a previous review mentioned inconsistency with the thermostat but we had no issue at all with this. On the outside, the early Autumn views were unmatched. We saw deer playing in the yard on our second morning while we enjoyed coffee on the deck. The house a/c was not able to maintain any temp below 81 degrees almost the entire time. I understand it has been a hot summer, but then you need to let the renters know ahead of time to expect a hot house. Because the house was so hot, the freezer could t keep our items frozen. All frozen items were soggy and soft and we lost all of our icecream that was total liquid. No desert for the entire trip. Lastly, they were aware of WiFi issues before we got there. Instead of ensuring the wifi was up and running when they got there, we ended up spending the entire first night trying to figure out how to reset and reconnect to their wifi. We never could get it to work which meant no family movie night the first night which is something g we always enjoyed doing on vacation. All in all, with all of the problems that started literally from the minute we got there I just have had over 25 or more phone calls or text messages to/from Innsbrook people. I spent almost the entire trip having to communicate back and forth to tech people, a/c people, and more Innsbrook staff. It was exhausting and all of it avoidable. ##### cynthia s.
