Seymour Heights, three bedroom holiday home with views over Woolacombe Beach

A modern holiday home with sea views overlooking Woolacombe bay, Croyde & Hartland in the distance. With high ceilings and ample natural light the ground floor is bright and spacious. The sea views from the open plan living room offer unrivalled views perfect for evening drinks or alfresco dining from your patio garden furniture. The modern kitchen and island makes for ideal family cooking to be enjoyed around the large wooden table infront of the sliding glass windows.

The ground floor bedroom has a large king sized bed, walk in wardrobe and en-suite. The utility has a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a microwave and a ground floor w/c and sink. The comfortable living area has 2 large sofas each seating 3 people facing the wall mounted TV and ocean view window.

The first floor has 2 bedrooms, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The master bedroom has a double bedroom, sea views from every window, a tall free standing wardrobe and a set of drawers. The family bathroom is between the twin and master with a roll top bath tub, separate shower, w/c, sink, and heated towel rail.

Seymour Heights is a 15 minute walk from Woolacombe beach, the hill is steep so it may be easier to drive.

Stunning Beach Views and Perfect Family Retreat

What a fantastic place to stay! The location and beach views were absolutely stunning. The house was perfect for a family getaway - spotlessly clean, with plenty of space to socialise and areas for privacy and quiet moments. We booked through My Favourite Cottages, and their service was excellent. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning soon.

Beautiful home with stunning views

Wonderful house with the most stunning views of the beach. Had everything you need for a relaxing stay. My only suggestion would be to potentially look to replace the double beds with larger ones. Beds were comfy but could do with a little more room.

We had a fantastic time at Seymour Heights a wonderfully comfortable house with a great sea view

We had a wonderful time - relaxed and restored at this very splendid property - the view each morning was incredible and the sunsets heavenly. Close enough to the beach and long walks with the dog. Brilliant kitchen where we cooked lots of family meals and played games and cards and watched films together.

A taste of luxury with amazing views

Seymour Heights looked good from the listing but was even better than we expected. Lots of space, incredible views, peaceful and very well located to get to any part of the coast from Barnstaple round to Ilfracombe. Easy to find, with good private parking for a couple of cars. Kitchen was very well equipped and everything was clean and fresh. Ideal for a family retreat. Thank you!

Amazing property

Fab property, just be aware access is not for the faint hearted! Tight lanes but managed in a large car. Views incredible and very clean. Really enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion is for more mugs with patterns on, not enough and we kept using each others!

Stunning views

A stylish house, at the top of a hill, with spectacular views of Woolacombe beach and the surrounding countryside. You can be on the beach in 10 minutes (although it’s a little more energetic on the way back!) and walk to several cafes. Inside you have everything you need, with comfy sofas and nice thick duvets, for the colder nights.

Magnificent view and excellent facilities

We had a very good holiday at Seymour Heights which is very well equipped and beautifully presented. Only issue is the very steep pedestrian access to the beach and the fact that there is not room for both a car and a buggy in the lane which provides access to the property and down to the beach so tricky for youngsters if you meet something coming up (or down) the other way.

A stunning house and location

What a stunning house and a view to die for. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in a house that was exceptionally well equiped and very comfortable. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The view over Woolacombe Bay was amazing, although, the trip down to the beach via a very narrow lane was a bit hair raising!!!!! My only, very small, criticism is that the microwave needs changing as it was rusty inside and not very clean looking. Having said that it wouldn't stop us staying again.

Holiday 2023

Wow! What a view from the patio. We were looking forward to some family bbqs on there but how you can expect to cook enough for a family of 6 on a fire pit beats me.The welcome pack was very welcome and very nice. The location is in walking distance to Woolacombe, but be warned the hill is very very steep and narrow but worth it. There is a sign at the bottom saying "not suitable for motor vehicles" but people still do risk damaging the cars. The bathrooms could do with some soap dishes and shampoo trays in the shower enclosures. Overall we had a brilliant weeks stay.

Fantastic views

I’ll start with the positives, the views from the cottage are fantastic, the living area is open plan, modern and well equipped , comfortable sofas, all great for modern family living. Beds were comfortable and all bedrooms a good size, bathrooms modern and plenty of hot water. Unfortunately now onto negatives.. the ground floor bedroom was not as described, only a double bed and no wardrobe..,the upstairs twin also lacked storage…as said before the view is amazing but the cottage really needs comfortable outside seating to appreciate it from ! And our biggest issue was the wifi & so tv.. we were holidaying with our mum who has severe dementia & mobility issues and needs a tv to sit in front of but this was impossible as the tv endlessly buffered, we informed the management company who told us there were ongoing issues in the area with internet. A terrestrial aerial would help solve the issue. And lastly on an environmental point the cottage would benefit from a clothes airer so the tumble dryer was not needed for general use.

Lovely, spacious and well-equipped.

What a glorious spot! Seymour Heights truly lives up to its name as a lofty haven with panoramic views, generous space, and facilities that tick all the right boxes. The house was exactly as described, making for a comfortable stay that suited our group beautifully. That said, the walk down to the beach is a bit of a thigh burner (a bonus workout?), the access road from coming up the hill took some creative manoeuvring, Lewis Hamilton would’ve enjoyed the challenge. A few minor tweaks could take this from “great” to “exceptional”; The garden could use a little love, some weeding and tidying would do wonders. A parasol for sunny days would be a welcome shield for pale northerners like ourselves. The large patio doors are almost too invisible, our noses can vouch for it (twice!). Some subtle markers would help prevent accidental glass kisses. WiFi... or rather, "WhyFi?" Unfortunately it didn’t play nice with us during our stay with the TV streaming, which was a bit of a setback. Overall, we had a lovely stay and give it a solid 8/10. With a few sprinkles of improvement, it could be an 11. Thanks for hosting us in beautiful Woolacombe, we’ll remember it fondly and would definitely consider using it again.

Family Trip

We loved our stay at Seymour Heights last week. We arrived late in the evening but the clear directions made it easy to find the house and the house was clean and welcoming when we arrived. Luckily there were about 5 minutes of daylight left to see the spectacular view of Woolacombe Bay. We had our two young children with us - 1 year old and 3 year old. The house worked really well for us. The very well equipped kitchen made self-catering easy for us. There were even some child friendly crockery and cutlery available. The downstairs space is very spacious, the living area was comfortable and we could access the normal TV apps. There was plenty of storage in the bedrooms to fully unpack. We were also grateful for the utility room complete with washing machine and dryer. We also appreciated the selection of toys and books which were available. Whilst we could have walked to the beach, with two little ones, we found it easier to drive and park given the steep walk back. The weather wasn’t hugely in our favour during our stay but the size of the house meant that we were still able to enjoy time together. There are lots of other things to do if it rains - aquarium in Ilfracombe, soft play in Braunton, brunch at the Beachcomber Cafe to name a few. There is a helpful folder with information on activities in the house. Gemma (the host) was very much on hand to deal with any queries we had to make our stay even better. She also gave us a welcome hamper of goodies! We organised a grocery delivery for our first morning which worked well for us. Thank you!

Wonderful week in Woolacombe!

We had a fabulous week staying at Seymour Heights. The view was amazing and the house very comfortable with everything that a family needs. We had fab weather which allowed us plenty of beach days. Both Woolacombe and Barricane beach were very nice. The grasses on the patio could do with being trimmed as they obstructed the view a bit which was a shame. The wi-fi was awful which didn’t bother me but annoyed the kids as couldn’t even watch TV without the signal going down. Also the lanes are extremely narrow around the property so be careful if you have a bigger car
