Our charming timber frame home offers a unique aesthetic appeal - a harmonious combination of rustic warmth and modern function. This mountain retreat offers flowing open spaces throughout. Vaulted pine tongue & groove ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a blue stone fireplace that compliments the home's rustic elements and wood floors. Skylights allow for bright-inviting spaces. The home is set on a private 2.5 acre lot surrounded by trees, while offering the convenience of town only several minutes down the road. Our home has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. The upper level of the home has an open concept layout with an updated kitchen, dining area with seating for 8 (plus 3 counter stools), living room with fireplace, and master bedroom with full bath (shower/tub). There is a mudroom as you enter for shoes, equipment, etc. The deck is located off the main living area and includes a grill and an outdoor dining table with views of the mountain. Firewood is available for use in the wood shed on the side of the house. The lower level features a family room with wood pellet stove, a 2nd master bedroom with full bath (shower/tub), and 2 additional bedrooms that share a 3rd full bathroom (shower with bench). There is also a beautiful sunroom off the 2nd master, with high ceilings and tons of light, that leads out to the large private backyard (and fire pit!). The laundry room is on the lower level as well. We have board games, puzzles, and a small air hockey table for those days you want to stay in and relax. This is a great home for 2 families and we also welcome dogs! Please note we have our well water tested annually through Adirondack Environmental Services located in Albany to ensure the drinking water is potable. Your destination awaits and is just minutes away from: \- 3 to 4 mins away from Town and restaurants \- 5 mins away from the Windham Mountain Resort \- 15 to 20 mins away from the Hunter Mountain Resort \- 20 mins to Colgate Lake State park \- 25 to 30 mins away from Kaaterskill Falls & Trails Must be at least 26 years of age to rent this property. Additional $200 cleaning fee (per stay). Pets are welcome - additional $50 fee (per stay). \*\* Please note - we ask that Guests: \- Clean the fireplace (if used) prior to checkout \- Clean all dirty dishes prior to checkout \- Remove all garbage & recycling (there is no garbage pick up so all garbage needs to be brought to the Windham Transfer station 3 minutes from the house) \- Leave the house in good condition In addition: 1\. The home must be left in the condition you found it. Please do not move any of the furniture. We understand that accidents happen so please let us know if something is broken. It is only fair that we have ample time to replace something before the next guests arrive. 2\. NO Smoking inside the house. If Smoking outside, please dispose of cigarette butts appropriately (do not throw anywhere on the property or in the house garbage pail). 3\. No fires inside or out are to be left unattended. Please make sure that all embers in the fireplace are completely out before closing the flue and retiring for the evening. 4\. Our cleaners are there to do the laundry, dust and clean the kitchen and baths (not clean up large messes left by disrespectful guests!) 5\. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Do not flush wipes of any kind. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. 6\. The house is located in the woods. Although we perform regular pest control on the house, we cannot guarantee it to be pest free of all bugs and pests. We cannot compensate for the presence of pests, insects and animals. Although food is biodegradable it is not safe or recommended to dispose any food items or trash in the woods for it attracts insects and animals. 7\. Please be aware that we have 3 outdoor cameras installed for security purposes. Once you arrive at the house, all cameras are disarmed for the remainder of your stay. No cameras are located inside the house. Second time for us, in fact. Great location on a wooded property close to downtown Windham and a variety of nature walks and hiking trails. The host thought of everything and is easy to reach in case you need them. The house itself is so cool. Single-floor living on the top floor and a whole second living area on the lower floor, including a large, bright sitting room you might call a solarium or sun porch. The outdoor deck features views of ski trails carved into the mountain. Pet friendly!! Definitely bring your well-behaved dog along and hit some of the local trails. It has been 18 years since we have been to Windham and wanted a place to stay with our adult children. The home was perfect with the amount of bedrooms and common spaces to hang out and relax. The house is just the right distance from the slopes and the view of the ski resort from the living room is picture worthy. We had a last minute situation arise and needed a late check out time and the owners so nicely granted our request which helped us out tremendously. The property had everything we needed and plenty of space. The deck and backyard with fire pit were ideal to enjoy the almost fall-like weather we had in early August. The house is located close to many restaurants and ample hiking trails and water for fishing. We had 8 people and there was more than enough room for all of us. We appreciated the large kitchen and giant countertop, the ample couch room was appreciated as well. The house's outdoor fire pit and inside fireplace kept us cozy for our entire trip. For a smaller town, we ended up finding a ton of great food nearby.
