The parking lot was completely empty. We had to leave and drive 5 miles down the road to call VRBO because of the phone service. Vrbo contacted the Host they said they would meet us there. The whole family enjoyed staying in the tipi - it was a really neat experience. The owners are beyond wonderful and very helpful. The tipis and beds are so cute and comfortable. They have everything you need to hang out by the fire and play yard games under the string lights. The resort is just 1 mile down the road from Tawakoni state park. We enjoyed hiking and swimming in the lake during the day. Highly recommend - very family and kid friendly. My family and I loved our spring break stay in the “spirit warriors” tipi. We were overwhelmed by lists, schedules and life, The Arrowhead gave us exactly what we needed to recharge and reconnect! My daughters really loved disconnecting from devices and getting to know each other again, even my 13 yr old. They offered amenities to keep us active and involved. I was able to cook easily on the provided griddle and grills. The restrooms and showers were clean. The property was stunning. We were able to see some wildlife and visit the Lake Tawakoni.
