The location was 2 blocks from the boardwalk. Check in was easy. We were not provided the wi-fi code. There are stairs only to access upper floors. There was a huge gap in the door. The room was not as clean as I would have hoped. The pool is nice, no towels. Bring your own. There was noise outside the room from people sitting outside people . Great for staying one night.

Newly remodeled room. Evidence of the prior occupant was visible, piece of tissue on the floor along with a small candy wrapper. No blanket in the room at all. Called the front desk several times and never got an answer. Lokesh was very kind and pleasant, he represents the business well.

The property and pool were both very clean. The staff was helpful. The ice machine had issues while we were there and it was extremely hot, otherwise a very pleasant stay and nice accommodations

Place spelled really bad like mildew. Room was extremely humid and reeked to the point it was hard to sleep. Literally all 3 TV’s did not operate. Shower knob fell off when trying to turn on shower. We stayed here a few years ago and it was much better but unfortunately has gone down hill with no upkeep. Good location and close to beach and boardwalk rides but we won’t be staying here again. Not recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Coastal Sands in a 2 BR suite. The proximity to the beach and boardwalk is excellent. The assigned parking spot was helpful. The amount of space in the suite was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We also enjoyed the pool area more than we expected. The privacy of the pool was great compared to other older, renovated hotels. Some things to prepare for if you plan to stay at Coastal Sands: the kitchenette does not have a coffee maker, and it has a two-burner cooktop, so options for cooking a meal in the room are limited. There were no utensils in the kitchen, either for cooking or eating, but we made it work by buying plasticware at the nearby dollar store. Overall, it was a good place to stay, especially for the price.

The hotel was clean overall, and staff are friendly, but definitely some areas that need improvement. First, the staff asked and made copies of my service dog’s certification and said they routinely do this. I explained that under the ADA, certification cannot be required for a service dog, so I hope they review their policy and train staff accordingly. The room also had a strong chlorine smell, and the bright light outside made it hard to sleep at night. Also found a baby cockroach crawling on the bed. Hotel is closed to all the happenings and few minutes walk to the beach. Also, they have designated parking which is a great amenities.

The staff were friendly. HOWEVER, I'm not sure why anyone would give this place more than a 5/10. The photos and reviews of 8/10 and 10/10 are deceptive. We stayed in a standard 2 queen bed room. It seems that this property was renovated at some point, but not well maintained. Upon entering the room, there was a strong smell of bleach, paint chipped walls, the anchor coming out of the wall for the curtains, dingy walls and floors. The mattress had a mattress protector, but no fitted sheet, instead a flat sheet that came undone while sleeping, then another flat sheet. Towels were clean but small. Mini fridge and microwave were clean and functional. I found 2 roaches, 1 in an outlet pooping and another behind the sink mirror. Location is pretty convenient to the beach and restaurants. Parking is available but tight, so leave the nice car at home.

Coastal Sands Inn is an excellent location for walking to the beach. A plus is that your stay includes a parking spot which is hard to find around the beach. But once you park, you may not want to move it more than once a day because spots are generally tight. The room was overall clean but very bare. We didn't have cups for bathroom, no coffee maker or water boiler inside the room. There were no closets, just hangers above the table in the room . There was also no luggage stand so all luggages are pretty much on the floor. The room was also very small and with luggages on the floor, it reduces walking space even more. The staff was pretty helpful and communicated well.
