The charming village of Wildsteig is located in the centre of the idyllic Pfaffenwinkel, one of the most beautiful regions in Upper Bavaria, close to the Ammergau Alps and the Füssen mountains. Here holidaymakers can experience tranquillity, closeness to nature and genuine Bavarian charm - far away from mass tourism. The village is an ideal starting point for hikes, cycle tours and excursions to cultural highlights. Worthwhile excursion destinations await in the surrounding area: the Zugspitze, the royal castles of Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof, the Ettal monastery, the Echelsbach arch bridge and the historic old towns of Schongau, Weilheim and Oberammergau
