This is a charming facility. They have done a great job sharing local history. The renovated room we had was delightful. The parking garage was frustrating as the signage was not clear.

There’s renovations going on the 3rd and 4th floors and did not disrupt our experience. Hotel parking is on the upper floors of the parking garage next door. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet, just wish the bed was bigger. Lots to see and do all within walking distance. We would definitely stay again! Staff was friendly as well and made us great drinks at the bar as well.

This is our second time staying and it was great! Easy access to everything downtown. Nice rooms with a full size fridge, stove microwave and dishwasher. Bedding was nice and comfortable!

this is just a fun place to stay. Lots of character, great staff, walkable area. I've been here several times and come back when I'm stopping in Wichita.

We always enjoy staying at the Hotel at Old Town. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the location is convenient and in a walkable neighborhood.

Eclectic vibes
Even with the hotel undergoing renovations it was such a great stay! The room was adorable complete with a kitchenette. There was a fantastic little jazz duo that played in the expansive bar area with extra seating away from the music that was great for conversation and room to relax. 10/10 I do plan to come back when I can stay longer.

Rooms are great! Like the kitchenette. We were able to fix a meal in the room. There is construction going on on floors 3 and 4. But not a problem when you are on floor 2. All staff were very helpful! They also have a nice area to wash clothes if necessary. I recommend this hotel.

In the middle of Renovations
We were greeted by a very friendly person at the front desk who gave us an overview of the hotel. We were woken up at 8:20 by extremely loud construction noises from within the hotel. It would have been nice to have been told this would be happening. We spend 1-2 nights a year away from our children so the loud wake up call was very unfortunate.

When we checked in there was no carts available and that’s to be understood. So we made 3 trips from the car to the room after waiting for quite some time. The burner on the stove didn’t work, the vanity drain didn’t drain. Long hair in the shower. There was hardly anyone staying in the hotel and I am pretty sure we got the worst room in the place. When they know you are using hotels.com they are not very accommodating. We have stayed numerous times at this place and we like the location. I told the front desk clerk our issues and she could have cared less.

Excellent front desk staff, atmosphere and appearance. Great location. Beds are uncomfortable (seem like they haven't been replaced in a while.) Air vents were dirty.

Clean, high ceilings, no weird smells, free parking, generous pours at the bar, overall atmosphere was great! Live jazz music. Within walking distance to many restaurants. River City Brewery has AMAZING food! Definitely will stay again when in Wichita.

Small suggestions
We didn't like that there were no black out curtains and our windows were facing east so we could not sleep in. Needed a trash can in bathroom. There was only one actual waste basket and thebother bag for trash was hanging from a a thing attached to inside of cabinet under sink. Would have liked a sponge to clean dishes.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. All rooms in the hotel have a black out curtain behind the decorative curtains. Sorry they were hiding from you! The trash cans are the wire racks you mentioned hanging on the bathroom and kitchen cabinet doors. You are welcome to call the front desk for any items or help you might need. We are here to ensure you enjoy your stay! I hope you give us another try. We will have fully renovated rooms by March 2024!

This was my fourth stay. One of the best locations and cool spots I’ve been. Highly recommend. This was a longer stay and I wish they cleaned the room at least every other day.
