It has been remodeled. And the bed and sofa are new. Large shared yard with firepit, swing, grill and picnic table on the river. Also, there are a few fishing poles, you are welcome to use. The cabin is centrally located between Cherokee and Bryson City, so if you want to gamble or ride the train you are only minutes away. There are hiking trails and waterfalls nearby in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park . Or go whitewater rafting and ziplining at the Nantahala Gorge. Must be able to walk down uneven stone stairs. Or if art galleries and boutiques is your thing, Bryson City has that too along with Breweries. Or you could just chill and grill at the cabin. Lie around in the living room and read a book while listening to the sound of the rushing river outside. Snuggle up next to the firepit and roast some marshmellows. Also, now with central heat and air. And has smart tv now If you need a place for 4 people instead of just 2 check out vrbo number 4672931\. It rained a lot so we didn’t get a chance to use the grill or fire pit, but would have enjoyed those amenities provided. Everything we needed was provided by the host inside the cabin, the bed was more comfortable than my own, and the view was just amazing. The location was perfect for exploring surrounding towns, only a few minutes to Cherokee, Bryson City, Sylva, and Dillsboro shopping and playing. The bed was comfortable and we were very happy with the rental. The river was right in the backyard, and it was beautiful. There are steep steps leading down to the apartment, though. Only issue was sound of people walking above. DVD only on Tv but we lived. Wifi is good. Phone service not great but again we survived lol. Place was clean. Kitchen has small stove microwave but bring yr own paper plates and coffee mugs. Just two of us so was perfect. There was wood for firepit and the sound of the river was soothing. Wd be a great spot for a couple or like myself and 11 yr old son. Close to several places but kind of hard to just find a place to eat. But overall I wd stay again. If you have bad knees etc it’s a downhill walk down steps to carry your stuff. Just some advice. Place is great. ##### Tonya M. There is seating, a fire pit, a grill, and places to eat and relax by the calming sound of the river. The small apt. has everything we need to rest well, fix our own meals and have close proximity to the Smoky Mountains, hiking, Bryson City and more. It is very affordable and the hosts are wonderful, reliable people! We just finished our 2nd stay and plan to be back in the spring. ##### Kathleen W. Just know this is the Bottom level of a 3 story home. I see that now after the fact but wasn't aware during booking. The pictures don't really sell how small of a living space this is. Window Unit cools the bottom level but not sure how effective it was during the day since we weren't there during the day but It kept us cool at night. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. The furniture is small so take that in to account when looking at the pictures.
