Kayaking, lazy river just 7-10 min away! if you are Headed west, near Franklin, you will find Harrah’s Cherokee casino. Visit a real gem mine, such as Mason’s, in the Cowee Valley. Try rafting in Nantahala, or take a drive over the mountain to Gaitlinburg and Pigeon Forge, where you can go horseback riding. You might want to go skiing in Cataloochee, depending on the season, of course! Just as you pass through downtown Sylva, on your right you will come to the market, where you can purchase freshly-laid eggs, as well as all kinds of fruits and vegetables and jams and jellies. For fine dining, try Ruth Chris Steak House at Harrah’s, the buffet at the casino, or a number of other good restaurants. There are plenty of Supermarkets near by! in the town of Sylva a few miles east, as well as craft and antique shops in nearby Dillsboro. The 4 separate cabins gave us our personal space and was enough to sleep us all comfortably. The host provided enough heaters for each cabin since it was very cold when we were there. The on-site laundry area had extra large washers and dryers which we appreciated for our 7-day stay. The host was always very responsive and personable. ##### Lauren P.
