We stayed at North Star during our first trip to Whistler, stayed someplace else the second trip, and returned to North Star for our third trip. We plan on staying at North Star again next year as well. The unit was absolutely SPOTLESS when we arrived, and the kitchen was well appointed. There were even some leftover spices, oils, etc. in the pantry. Definitely check in before going to the grocery store so that you do not duplicate what is already there. For example, there was a whole pack of coffee filters in the unit and multiple containers of salt and pepper, both of which we purchased before arriving. The unit also included enough toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, trash bags, and dish soap for the week. I also enjoyed the deep bathtub and rain shower head/detachable shower head combo and the heated bathroom floor, and the wide selection of cable TV channels. The location of this unit is superb. It's very close to the check-in office and the circle/parking garage entrance, so transporting our luggage and gear from the car to the unit was very easy. The grocery store is also right across the street, and the liquor store is in the same shopping center as the grocery store. The gondolas are technically walkable, but it's a long walk. We took the free shuttle across the street when we hit the slopes. My only complaint was similar to other reviewers: the bed was quite uncomfortable. It should DEFINITELY be replaced. ##### Brenda W. NOISY if you have to have the windows open which is needed most of the time most of the summer (no A/C) you get to listen to the continuous stream of screaming kids at the pool and adults shouting and playing music on portable speakers. It is nearly continuous 10a-10p even on weekdays unless raining. I would not stay in this unit in the summer because of the noise. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
