Beware other condo's in nearby complexes are NOT! Stroll out of the unit, pick up your Ski's from the complimentary ski storage, strap on your skis and off you go, ski 100 meters to the NEW Blackcomb Gondola or Magic chairlifts. The Wizard express was replaced with a new 10 person Gondola from the 18/19 Ski season. You are able to access the whole ski area of both Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains. Our property can accommodate up to 4 guests, featuring a bedroom with 1 kingsize bed (with new Mattress 21/22) and a queen sofa bed (with new mattress 20/21) in the living area. Our unit has been renovated with granite kitchen and bathroom tops and tiling. New carpets, appliances, and flat screen TV's. It has been re painted for the 21/22 Ski season WE HAVE AIR CONDITIONING There is a 36inch flatscreen HD TV in the bedroom and a 46 inch wall mounted HD TV in the living area. In addition there is a blu ray/dvd player and stereo with ipod connector. The unit has free high speed wireless internet access (50Mps) The unit is decorated in a cosy chalet style with wood furniture, feel free to put your feet up on the blanket box and relax in front of the warm fire with a delicious glass of Red after a hard day in powder. The unit features a fully equipped kitchen , dining area and a gas fireplace. Your family can also enjoy the year-round heated pool, 3 hot tubs which sit on the edge of the piste. There is also an exercise room and laundry facilities. Ski school is also located 100meters away at blackcomb base. We also provide a complimentary local CONCIERGE who will be happy to arrange lift tickets, ski hire, ski school, other activities, restaurants, grocery delivery etc before or during your stay. They can also advise you. Blackcomb base provides some local dining options, the Chateau Whistler is next door for other dining options or shopping. Alternatively Whistler Village is a 7 min scenic stroll away for shopping and dining or the free shuttle bus into the village stops 100 meters from the Aspens entrance. In the Summer there is a secure locked bike storage area Our unit is positioned on the second floor at the front of the building with views up to Blackcomb mountain. We did find walking to the main village to a be a bit further than we would like with 2 younger kids but that was a minor inconvenience compared to positives of our stay. It was good value for what we paid. Very clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed! Easy parking, easy to get around the property, very good communication from host for checking in/out. Room was very clean with every amenity you could need. From the room we would take the stairs down to the main level and walk out the pool exit right onto the Blackcomb hill. 1-2 minute walk to the Upper Village, 7-8 minutes down to the Lower Village, perfect spot. I was able to park my half ton truck in the underground parking without issue and walked over to the Fairmont Golf Course for a round in 7 minutes. We will be looking to stay here again with the family our next time out to Whistler. We had two adults and 2 teenagers in the room and it was a perfect size. ##### Jaime T. Just right for our spring break. A 5 minute to the Blackcomb gondola and just an easy 10 minute walk to Whistler village centre. Communication with Brendan the owner was excellent. Also, Shirley who manages the property was very responsive to our texts.The underground parking was expensive at 26 a night but was worth it for us as we knew the car was secure.The Aspens complex is very nice with plenty of communal space and a bike hire shop in the building.We used the hot tubs a couple of times. There are 3 so plenty of space and they were pretty hot! Buying the lift pass for the week (190) was a great idea as we used the lifts every day to walk the well marked trails. It was money well spent as the lifts are superb and it also includes the chairlift up to the skybridge and peak to peak gondola.We didn’t hire bikes for the downhill trails (looked fun though) but did rent mountain bikes for 2 hours to cycle the green trails in the Lost Lake Park. The trails were brilliant fun for us older bikers and pretty quiet. We also tried out the Evo cycleshare bikeshare. They were okay for paved paths but not great on the gravel tracks.We had a great week and would definitely recommend the apartment, and Whistler. The scenery is out of this world and everyone we met was very friendly.We would definitely stay in this apartment again. ##### Andrea l. Shirley, our contact was very helpful when needed. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, and the condo was clean and comfortable. That being said, the Aspens is about 30 years old and the condo shows its age in places, and is a bit cramped. Also, the fridge struggled to keep things cold - some things went bad early - and although Shirley contacted the repair service as soon as we let her know, a part had to be ordered, so it still was not fixed 4 days later when we left.Overall, my wife and I were happy with our stay, but we've definitely stayed at nicer places. ##### David R. Easy walk to the village and right on the mountain. Perfect for a family get-away. The kitchen was well stocked all though would have been nice to have some coffee filters for the machine. (Bonus if there was coffee as well!). Concierge service was very polite and quick to answer us. The pool area was a favourite for our kids! The unit was very clean and well maintained, and communication from the property manager made our check in effortless. My 11 year old daughter had as much fun in the pool and hot tubs as she did on the mountain. The condo was perfect for the 2 of us and an adult friend of the family- the king bed is comfortable, and our friend had no complaints about the sofa bed. We used the kitchen and were pleasantly surprised to find it stocked with a number of essentials- the only thing missing was oil, which we substituted with good Canadian butter from the FreshMart in town. The condo is conveniently around the corner from the elevator (but not noisy), and I was happy to find a parking spot that made it easy to go up and down the stairwell when needed. The concierge was responsive and helpful prior to our arrival, and while the VRBO auto-info was out of date, the info in the condo binder and from the concierge was spot on.
