The River House- family friendly home on Chemainus River
Welcome to our family friendly home just steps away from the Chemainus River. The River house not only comfortably sleeps 8 , has a fully equipped kitchen, 2.5 bathroom, tvs and heat pumps in each room but we also have the perfect yard for entertaining. From a climbing wall, large picnic table, inground trampoline, sandbox, propane fire pit with lounge chairs, outdoor speakers and stylish lighting. River house truly has everything you need for the whole family or a weekend away for the grown ups
The River House is a stylish and comfortable simple layout that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. We have the primary bedroom with a king sized bed and views of the backyard. The primary bedroom also has a full sized ensuite bathroom. We have two bedrooms each with their own tv and a queen bed. The fourth bedroom has two singles and a tv. There is a powder room in the entrance and another full bathroom down the hall. The fully loaded kitchen looks out over the backyard and is equipped with everything that you need to create a home cooked meal.
The living room has a big comfy couch, gas fireplace and of course a tv!
Each room has a heat pump/AC unit for you to set to your comfort!
The backyard is where the real magic of our property is! We have a built in trampoline, large picnic table, kids log playground, sandbox, propane firepit and lounge chairs. Through the fence you can follow the path down to the Chemainus river (at your own risk) which is the perfect spot to cool off during the hot summer months or go for a river side stroll along the trail.
Our whole side of property is for you to use! We kindly ask to avoid the backyard behind the other home on the property.
Our Neighborhood is mostly just us and another home on the property! We are located close to the highway so there is some traffic noise. Through our backyard you will find the Chemainus River which you are welcome to use. Down the road you will find Motherhen BBQ Diner and Russels Farm Market for fresh local produce.
We have ample free parking on the property. We highly suggest having your own vehicle with you as public transportation in Cowichan can be infrequent.
We have two RV spots available for booking as well. They are both fully serviced with power and water. Inquire for more details about bringing and RV!
Please note that the check in widow for June, July and August is 4:00pm to 10:00pm. Please let us know if you intend to arrive past 10:00 PM.
Please no smoking in the house or near doorways and open windows. An additional fee of $500 will occur if the smell of smoke is present in the house.
