LOW RATES-6 BR, Private, Hot Tub, Wi-Fi, AC Welcome to DunRovin. Recently updated and lower rates!! We now have AC on 2 floors! DunRovin is a 6 bedroom and 5 and one half bathroom home that can accommodate up to 14-15 total guests. We are located within minutes to downtown West Jefferson, free Wi-Fi, easy paved access, wood burning fireplace, plenty of parking, covered deck with a porch swing, gas grill, level access into the cabin, and several board games. The private setting that is surrounded by Mother Nature gives you that feeling of truly "escaping" everything but yet only 3 miles to West Jefferson. \*\*Main Floor: The living room has 2 full size couches, 4 chairs for plenty of seating, and a Roku TV. Plus, there is a nice and cozy wood burning fireplace/stove to use during those cold mountain winter nights. Our fully stocked kitchen with plenty of items to prepare a large meal has a dishwasher, microwave, regular coffee maker AND a Keurig maker, and more. There is a 2nd fridge just off of the dining room as well for your convenience. The dining room can seat up to 12 guests and there is additional seating at the bar in the kitchen area and a pub table that can seat 4\. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom and a half bathroom on the main floor. One bedroom has a queen size bed with En Suite private bathroom with tub/shower combo, and personalized heating/cooling system. The 2nd bedroom has a full size bed with personalized heating/cooling system. \*\*Upper Floor: There is a private queen size bedroom with a private bathroom with a walk-in shower along with a Roku TV and a system with heating and air condition. The loft has a sitting area to read a book or take a nap. For additional sleeping, the loft has a full size sleeper sofa (Note: we do not endorse sleeper-sofas or futons for any guest over the age of 12 years of age due to comfort factors). \*\*Lower Level: There are 3 private bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms on the lower level. The 4th bedroom has a queen size bed with a TV. The 5th bedroom has a king size bed. The 6th bedroom has 2 double beds. There is a sitting area as well on the lower level and has flat screen TV. \*\*Outside: There is a large hot tub sitting under a covered deck for you and your guests to indulge yourselves in after a long day of hiking, shopping, or just relax from everyday hustle and bustle. Cook your favorite steaks, burgers, or hot dogs on our outdoor gas grill. IF golf is your sport, you can enjoy a round of golf, which is less than 10 minutes away at Mountain Aire Golf. For more information about Ashe County and our great town of West Jefferson, please visit the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce. Sorry, but no pets allowed. No smoking allowed inside of our rentals. There is a 2 night minimum for off peak seasons 3 night minimum for the summer months, some holidays and the entire month of October (leaf season) 4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday 7 night minimum for the July 4th holiday and Christmas/New Year holidays Check in time is 4:00 pm or later and Check out time is 10:00 am or sooner. As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, ice, some foggy days, and some occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy and could be dangerous in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and/or ice. This means 4-wheel drive/AWD, good tires, and/or chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. We had 10 people sleeping there with 4 beds left over. We hosted a post- graduation lunch for my son with about 25 people, using the big table as a buffet area. The kitchen is smallish but quite well equipped, and having a second refrigerator was definitely helpful. There were plenty of places for people to sit and eat with all the deck space. The kids enjoyed the hot tub tremendously. I enjoyed walking the steep hills in the area- a great workout in a short amount of time. The view of mountains from the living room and deck was lovely. Views are amazing and dinner room can fit 11 adults. At some point, the owner needs to consider changing the base board heater as the temperature control can be confusing and converting the full beds to queens. The owner can take this up a notch by adding a Jacuzzi and a pool table in place of the fools ball table. We were all tall in our group and quickly noticed the full bed sizes. The location is secluded yet close to grocery stores and the cute town of West Jefferson. It is a charming little town with shops, restaurants, coffee shops, a donut shop and more. The house is great for large families or groups. It is well stocked also. We were in the area for a wedding. We really enjoyed our stay. ##### Becky H. A group of us out-of-towners reunited for a weekend and we had a wonderful time. Communication leading up to the trip was such that we didn't want for anything during our stay. Our only complaint was that the basement was a little chilly overnight, mainly due to the radiator setting off the smoke alarm when we turned it on. However, there were enough blankets and individual heaters in bedrooms that everyone was alright. Otherwise, everything was spotless - loved having the hot tub and all of the eating space! - and it was all that we needed for a wonderful weekend away. ##### Alexandra H.
