Appalachian View has exactly what you’re looking for to have the perfect cabin experience in Ashe County.......3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, breathtaking views, pool table, hot tub, fire pit, gas grill, high speed internet and all paved access. Our cabin is located just minutes to downtown West Jefferson, NC in Ashe County, the Coolest Corner of North Carolina!! During the winter months, you can see the slopes of Beech Mountain in the distance. Main Floor: Enter the cabin with 4 steps up to the deck. As you open the door, you’ll love the open floor plan with warm and cozy atmosphere. The living room is furnished with comfortable couch, chair with ottoman and a couple of rocking chair, gas fireplace (October – March), flat screen TV with Roku. Great and fast wireless internet, too! As you walk through the living room, you’ll find our log cabin dining table that seats up to 6 guests. Enjoy your favorite meal while being in awe of the views from the dining table! This is true mountain life. Near the dining area is our well stocked and modern kitchen. We do offer a Keurig maker AND a regular drip coffee maker, the best of both coffee worlds. There is also a half bathroom on the main level. The master bedroom offers a king size bed with an En Suite full bathroom with a beautifully tiled glass enclosed shower. You will also have access to the covered deck. The master bedroom has a flat screen Roku TV. The upper covered deck has plenty of seating along with a table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee, snack or dinner. Upper Floor: The upper level features a loft with a desk and chair for those that may need to do a little work while on vacation. There is also a sofa to relax and maybe take a nap on as well. There are 2 queen bedrooms, each having Roku TV. The full bathroom is also located between the two bedrooms with a tub/shower combo. Lower Level: The lower level features a very nice pool table, electric fireplace, Roku TV, full bathroom with tub/shower combo and the washer and dryer. You also have access to the lower deck from the game room to access the new 6 person hot tub. Outside: Enjoy spending time around our beautiful fire pit (wood not provided), take in that fresh mountain air and listen to the sounds of nature. After a fun filled day of hiking, shopping, fishing, tubing, skiing, you’ll be able to relax and soak your cares away in our new (2022) hot tub. Let those soothing jets take the stress away! There is a gas grill on the deck. After you stay at Appalachian View, you’ll want to come back time after time. Why not start creating memories by staying with us. You’ll be happy you did! Location: Appalachian View is located in a premiere log cabin community called Big Tree with all paved access. The elevation is approximately 4,200’ for those cool summer days. Since we are at a higher elevation, the roads do get slick and snow covered. We strongly recommend a 4x4 and tire chains if it does snow/ice. Our cabin is approximately 15 minutes to downtown West Jefferson, 35 minutes to Boone and 45 minutes to Blowing Rock. \*\*\*\*We have 2 other cabins nearby. One is a 4 bedroom cabin called "Sky High" and this one is within walking distance from our cabin. The other cabin is called "Above the Clouds" and this one is approximately two tenths of a mile away. So if you're looking for multiple rentals close to each other, the 3 cabins can accommodate up to 23 guests, combined. Important Information: Appalachian View is located in a private community and guests are asked to be respectful of the neighborhood. Sound travels in the mountains, so please be mindful when enjoying our outdoor areas. There is a countywide noise ordinance in place after 10:00 PM. Important Notes: \*\*\*The cabin is access by state maintained paved roads. However, you it may be necessary to have 4X4 vehicles with tire chains during the winter months. \*\*\*The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home. \*\*\*Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling. There is a home phone for local Ashe County calls, only. The house is beautiful with a fully equipped kitchen, three spacious bedrooms & bathrooms, covered deck, hot tub, pool table, an beautiful outdoor fire place and plenty of room for everyone. And of course a magnificent view. The neighborhood is quiet, the people friendly and the wildlife (deer) is in abundance. This is a first class rental company! Stacey is amazing and a wealth of information. We had a couple questions (nothing urgent) and texted her late in the evening - truly not expecting a response until the following morning. To my surprise, she responded right away and was more than willing to answer our questions at that late hour. First impressions are lasting and she knocked it out of the park. Huge thank you to you Stacey for being dedicated and obviously loving what you do. It shows! We actually ended up in the West Jefferson area by default as we booked late and were wanting to stay close to the Creeper Trail (where we biked). We biked, hiked and kayaked and explored the downtown area of West Jefferson. This is a Gem of a city and has definitely got our attention.
