Hood Village, but why eat out when you have everything you need for cooking right at home? Hot tub fantastic! Very big house with lots of room to stretch and lounge around. The home had some repairs and updates that needed to be done. As a general contractor, I just couldn't help it!! Welches ended up being a great location. The weather didn't cooperate for good skiing. We did a nice hike a couple miles away on the Salmon River one day. Spent a day in Portland and went to Cannon Beach. We were able to ski 2 days at Meadows which is an exceptional resort.The condo worked out perfectly for us. We had multiple pool games and an evening of ping pong. The living space was very comfortable. Bedrooms were fine and plenty of bathrooms. We didn't cook anything but breakfast but the kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub is very clean and works beautifully. Not always the case we have found.We had good dinners at the Mexican and Indian restaurants in Welches. Joe's donuts in Sandy lived up to the hype. The food truck park there was only OK. Overall a good vacation. Close access to a variety of activities was a bonus when the skiing wasn't good. The condo enhanced our experience. Very frustrating on our end. You must have a step by step instruction sheet on how to turn on the TV. The upstairs shower turn on in a peculiar way. If I had not read the fine print in the 16 page manual, I would not have figured it out. Put an instruction in the bathroom somewhere so it is not so difficult to figure out. Unfortunately the hot tub was down for cleaning and that was a disappointment. ##### Bob R. We had so much fun going up and playing in the snow during the day. At night, we cozied up by the fire, or played games as a family, and enjoyed the hot tub. Our family was so happy for a little getaway after 9 months of being home ALL the time. The house was wonderful- we had a great thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed time together! 20 mins to government camp to play in the snow, some awesome walking trails- we walked everyday! Loved that it’s on the golf course but incredibly private- you had NO idea it was a duplex at all. We had neighbors around us also celebrating the holiday but we heard no one at all- only saw other cars. The huge living room was awesome for movies and playing games, the couch was super clean and comfortable with 3 reclining sections. The pool table and record player in the game room upstairs saw 20+ games a day and the ping pong table and hot tub were icing on the cake. I am a germophobe and the house was very clean. The fridge was large for everything you need and we loved the sleds in the garage. Lots of towels- even hot tub towels. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. The kitchen was well equipped although we brought our own supplies to cook thanksgiving dinner. Nice and clean newer washer and drier so we took home clean clothes. Only recommendations for future visitors- we brought Clorox wipes with us to ensure we had some and happy we did as no cleaning wipes there. Also we brought our own laundry detergent and again glad we did. Could have used more garbage bags as we ran out. Tons of games and the tv is nice- bring your Netflix password to login. Comfy beds, great big square table with extra chairs for it in the garage. Super easy check-in/out with a key code. We had a Wonderful family vacation away for the holidays and so appreciate you sharing your getaway with us. You can tell the owners take pride in it and lots of love for family and friends.
