Overall stay ok but communication with the company was poor. I complained about a terrible smell in the bedroom which wasn’t acknowledged by them. The induction hob didn’t work, so cooking was limited during my stay. I asked for an extra towel which they said they would provide but it never came. I’ve communicated this all to them through WhatsApp but have had no response.

A fabulous hotel and well worth a stay! We made a last minute booking as a stop off on the motorway - it's about a mile from the M5 but you'd never know it. A beautiful old building and great amenities mean you don't either need or want to go elsewhere. A choice of a fine dining restaurant or the bistro-style Atrium meets all needs. Had it been better weather when we were there we would have loved sitting out on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the garden. I'm very very fussy about hotels and my only complaints were that our room was so far from reception and that the shower tray had a trace of limescale in it but I really am picking at small things as overall this hotel is excellent and great value for money.

"No lift lots of stairs and corridors room small no colour, spa not very assessable as you have to go through the gym no gowns provided. "The hotel has been bought out by Hilton group & is need of a refurb, as it's one of the oldest buildings in Cardiff. I didn't eat breakfast there. So annoying that you cant park at the hotel + have to pay £24 to park at Sofia Gardens car park close by."
