We came in January, and got caught in snow all week! It was gorgeous! The driveway is a little steep, so definitely prepare in freezing/winter conditions! It was so peaceful, convenient to Waynesville and Cattaloochee Ski Slope! Hot tub was a plus! Had issues with trying to watch cable, but there are 2 smart TVs we were able to hook our Switch up to and stream movies while we were snowed in. I loved that there was a bedroom on the main floor for my parents (my dad has mobility issues), and my family could have the upstairs bedrooms. The pool table and hot tub got some use, and the long porches off the back gave us great views. It's always great to have laundry available, too. Be aware that the road up to the house is pretty curvy - I recommend getting there while it is still light out so you don't get lost! We spent 6 days at the cabin and greatly enjoyed time with our family. Only minutes from the interstate but still relatively private. Only complaint was that the fireplace didn't work. We informed the property manager who quickly dispatched a tech to try to repair the gas fireplace but, unfortunately, they weren't able to repair it during our stay. Most people don't realize how close this cabin is to one of the back entrances to Smoky Mountain National Park (less than 30 minutes to view elk and walk on trails). Views were beautiful. Our sedan navigated the mountain and driveway with no trouble. The pool table and hot tub were fantastic. Cell coverage is good also.
