« Myself and 4 friends booked this home on the water for an annual super bowl ice fishing trip. The house was just as described, spacious and comfortable. The pond is beautiful and the fishing was outstanding, we caught fish all day long. Location is good as well, with plenty of restaurants and downtown Augusta within 10 to 15 minutes. Great home for the price. »

« This is by far one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the beautiful decor, exposed wood and cozy fireplace. It was the attention to detail and small little extras that made this an extra special visit. The serene music playing as you enter the home to the specialized note and picnic basket! They are very accommodating to any situation that may arise and communicate on a five star level. An amazing stay and will be visiting again! »

« Stayed for one night in between visiting Portland on our way up to Acadia National Park, and wish we stayed longer! Everything was clean and well set up for our arrival. The attention to detail made everything very comfortable and feels like your own private camp getaway. Host had great instructions for the shower setup and had great communication. »

« Peter and Jane are terrific hosts of a beautiful spot on the lake. We did all the things. We hiked Mt. Blue to the top. We peddled the boat out onto the lake. We watched the sunrise and sunset on the screened in porch. We made fires and roasted marshmallows. We had a terrifically beautiful family vacation at this perfect little cottage on the lake. »

« Rocks cabin really rocks!!! Cabin is super clean, amenities are great. You could find anything you look for. If you are looking for a quiet gateway, look no further. Our dogs loved it so much also, beware of coyotes at night!!! »

« The renter is not worth coming about the fact that her home is on a very steep hill. I told her I was a senior and had foot and ankle and knee surgeries and had a hard time walking. I saved up to rent a place all year. When I got there I had to call her to find out how to get to the lake. It is so steep I couldn't find an entrance to the lake, I finally found a foot wide muddy, slippery path which was 90 degrees straight up and down. « We had two rentals for parents and grandparents to attend Colby graduation. The treehouses are just beautiful and the managers have thought of and provided for every need. We were close enough to the campus but in such a gorgeous lakeside spot; it was perfect. The manager is the most kind and responsive person. « We attended my niece wedding ay Kings Hill Inn and stayed at this home in Sumner Maine. We were 15 minutes from the venue. Our rental was perfect! Well stocked. We had everything you could possibly need to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommend!! »

« The location of King’s Kastle on Salmon Lake is excellent. The lake is wide at that point and offers great views of the sunrise, particularly from the upstairs master bedroom suite. The lake has less development than others where we have stayed in Maine. We enjoyed seeing loons, eagles, and osprey which are abundant. « The almost permanent view of the lake was magnificent. Since the lake is west of the property, the sunsets are also wonderful. I even took one of the kayaks out to the Lighthouse. Even though it looks far away but it only took about 10 minutes of easy paddling. Great place for a peaceful vacation. Bar Harbour was close enough for quick day trip and then the Loop at Acadia Nat'l Park provided great panoramic views. »
