Waverly Vacation Packages

Booked 2 rooms at this hotel for 2 nights. It was good in some areas and less good in others. - Staff were all really friendly and approachable. - The hotel was generally very clean and tidy. - Nice pool and hot tub although the pool could probably do with a good a deep clean and possibly some more effective filters. - The main issue for us during our stay was the toilets. I know this has been mentioned in previous reviews but the staff did seem aware of more recent issues and we over heard other guests commenting their own. It has to be said that the staff were really good when dealing with our problem. We had an overflowing toilet at 3am, luckily it was clean water from the cistern. The cistern would not close off after flushing and the toilet could not take the amount of water so it flooded the bathroom. My wife and I quickly found a way to stop the flow of water and cleared up the best we could. After this we were moved to another room, so this was much appreciated. In the new room, the toilet blocked again and also in our groups second room. We cleared this ourselves, not wanting to be a pain to staff. Blocked toilet was the other guests problem which we overheard also. Breakfast was a disappointment, it was cold and been out a while. Had to ask for toast as this was not available. For a free breakfast not many would complain but I would not pay for it here, as there are other local options. Would not stay here again but the staff's efforts were appreciated.

Loved how clean and well-maintained the facilities and rooms were! AC was perfectly functional, TV was new, and everything smelled fresh. Beds and pillows were super comfortable! Housekeeping was great when done, it just didn't get done unless specifically requested. The staff were super friendly and helpful; there was just one individual who would always make you come to the front desk and get toiletries yourself (i.e. extra toilet paper, tooth paste, extra towels, etc.) rather than having the items delivered to our room. He would outright refuse to have anything sent up to the room, which was a bit odd, as it the first time we had a response like that at a Holiday Inn. Otherwise, it was a great stay for 7 days!

The external property is gorgeous, very nice scenery, close to downtown Napa. But the AC was broken and our room got up to 80 degrees even with the fan on and the AC turned on to 63. The hot water wasn’t working, and our pillows were dirty. Looked like they hadn’t changed those pillows in years, because it had brownish yellow spots on it.

It was ok, very small room. There was trash from the previous hotel guests in the trash. The breakfast wasn’t all that great as another Ramada by Wyndham hotel I had stay at previously. The door didn’t fit in the frame and had big gaps so you can hear everything that was going on in the hallway vice versa. Overall you get what you pay for and it did its job but wasn’t very comfortable and cozy.
