My only drawback was that the listing didn’t presented the property as it really is. It is not a treehouse (just a house with trees in backyard). The listing also gives the impression that it a secluded & intimate cottage with complete privacy. In reality, it is a family house with neighbours on either side. « We chose to have a very quiet Xmas this year. Staying for 4 nights at Heron’s Rest was peaceful calm and serene. The surroundings and scenery are beautiful with the dam taking centre stage with lotus flowers bobbing and blooming. A glass of wine on the pontoon and watching our dog get control of her ‘Pontoon legs’ was very entertaining! We had everything we needed in the accommodation. The skyscraper loaf of bread was sublime. We would definitely return. Thanks again to our hosts. »
