Located on a small canal that leads directly into Tichigan Lake, this house is on the water and only 350 feet from wide open lake. Tichigan Lake and the Fox River Impoundment combine for over 1,100 acres of navigable waterway that is perfect for waterskiing, wake boarding, fishing, and swimming in summer and ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing in winter. Just a short paddle from the house is a swimmable lake with depths greater than eight feet and depths up to 63 feet in the middle of the lake. By walking less than 100 steps away from the house you can find dining and often live entertainment at The Watering Hole Bar and Grill. This cottage is ideal for 4 people, could sleep 5 or 6 in total, if they fit on the small pull out sofa featured in the photos. Relax by a fire in the private, fenced-in yard, or enjoy the lower level entertainment area where family and friends can play games or just relax and watch a movie. Located just 3.5 miles from the nearest grocery store and less than 4 miles to downtown Waterford, you can be away from it all but close to creature comforts. The canal is NOT ideal if you have a pontoon boat that is 8.5' wide or greater or 18 foot or larger ski boats as the canal is restricted by a narrow bridge and the canal itself is only 20 feet wide. It IS ideal for fishing boats, jet skis, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, or paddle boards. Included with your stay is free unlimited use of two kayaks and one canoe, or bring your own fishing boat and tie up to the dock. If you just want to relax and look at the water then the deck overlooking the canal and the lake may be more your style. Bring your brats, burgers or hot dogs and grill out on the deck on the Weber propane grill. The canal may appear clean and shallow, but guests do catch perch, bass, catfish, and even northern pike right off the dock. Paddling through the tunnel allows for great underwater viewing of whatever happens to be swimming through! We provide two kayaks and a canoe for our guests to enjoy. Inside you will find entertainment for the kids and adults alike with a foosball table, air hockey table, and Pac-Man arcade game with eleven other 1980s classic video games. A second TV is located in the lower level game room so kids can watch what they want downstairs while the adults unwind upstairs. Fishing was so fun and caught so many right off the dock. The house was modern and perfect for our family of 4 + 2 mini dachsunds. Clean & comfortable stay. Just wasn't happy with the muk in the canal. Got the boat stuck a couple times. Great place just wasn't happy with the canal. We needed to visit Waterford to see my daughter and was looking for a comfortable place to stay with my family. This house is not large but has ample space inside with three bedrooms. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. The owner was very communicative and kind, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Although the house isn't directly on the lake, the canal provided easy access for kayaking and canoeing, which was a fantastic bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring the area and appreciated the convenience of having these watercraft available. It is located in a quiet area with access to a canal in the backyard. Life jackets, kayaks etc are supplied. The rental itself is cozy and very clean and spacious. There was plenty of space for our family. We enjoyed having 2 TVs and playing air hockey. The pull out couch made lounging and watching Netflix comfortable. Our dogs enjoyed roaming in the fenced backyard as well. The host was friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend this rental for a nice relaxing escape! ##### laura l.
