Walking down the path from the parking area you will see the confluence of Canyon Creek and the Washougal River and cabin nestled amongst cedar trees where you will be staying. The cabin was originally built in the 1920's as a vacation home for a predominate Portland Judge. I would describe house as updated rustic. If it matters with the ages/makeup of your group, one of the bedrooms is in an unattached structure. Beds/linens were comfortable. We couldn’t get the hot tub to fill but other than that everything was in good working order. Little drive (15 min or so) to town with restaurants. If you’re a family that likes to watch TV or movies together, be aware that the big TV is inside one of the bedrooms rather than out in the living area. Beautiful home! Thank you! ##### Christy O. It is your own private waterfall(s). We spent many hours simply listening to and gazing at the falling Waters. (And yes, plunging into the frigid waters). Surrounded by old growth 500-year-old trees and mossy branches. Native blooms everywhere. An old-fashioned grill, back dropped by a waterfall . Mental health break for all. It seems silly given the one-of-kind location to address the cabin, but it is equally stunning. Though it was built 100 yrs ago, it has been completely rehabbed. Owner (a friendly chill local guy) spent a few years at Ralph Lauren, And it shows. Tasteful subtle Pacific Northwest style. High ceilings, rough hewn beams.All new,high-end quiet appliances (Bosch,etc). Inverters in each room for personal coziness. Mattresses better than our home Tempur-pedics. Yes, a wooden fruit bowl! A vase. Detailed stuff often missing at rentals. Full spice cabinet. I will remember this sweet cabin in this little waterfall valley forever in my dreams.
