Wonderful location about a block away from the White House. Very walkable and in close proximity to restaurants. I would recommend the hotel restaurant Alhambra though as well, very good!
Room was fantastic - spacious, clean and freshly remodeled on the 8th floor with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as a perk for Bonvoy elite status.

Dated rooms, but wonderful staff and amazing location (steps away from White House)
Gorgeous and prestigious place, service is quite good and professional, restaurant Alhambra is top notch with 5-star worthy food and drinks! However, it is lacking some services I am used to, like Spa service and swimming pool. A better concierge service would also be helpful in booking the famous afternoon tea. That being said, it is still a nice hotel to stay in DC.
Came in on a last minute business trip, was able to book the room we needed for business meetings while the staff made sure all our needs were taken care of .
The staff was amazing, as usual. When we had an issue with our tv in the room, they took care of it immediately. Very friendly and attentive. The 6:00 champagne was a nice touch, too
Property was very nice and the staff was superb. BUT….there was an event with a band and drums that was so loud it shook the room until 12 am. We had to rise early, so needless to say got little sleep.

It's a classic St. Regis hotel. The staff is very attentive and at your service.
I didn't love the room I had. Although it was recently renovated, it still felt quite cheaply done. It felt like the hotel gets run-through with people often. It is DC so it can be expected. I loved that the hallways had tiled floors. The carpet is quite a bother to lug a suitcase on. Overall, the room was spacious, quiet, and fine.
As I said, it's your typical St.Regis hotel.
