Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Melrose hôtel. Les chambres sont très confortables, l’hôtel est très bien situé pour la visite de Washington à pied. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel!

This was a very cutesy hotel. Design was fabulous as you entered into the facility. The rooms were spacious but the carpet could’ve used a once over with a shampoo machine. The bathroom was quite tiny. Additionally, there was only street parking or valet which although in the end cost me an extra $265 (after $56 tax/day) the folks handling valet were pretty good - especially Kayla and Salomon. They were always a step ahead which kept me and my colleagues on time for our week full of meetings.

Overall our experience was decent at the Melrose, aside from there being obvious blood drops on the wall/door frame in our bathroom. When I told the front desk clerk about this and showed her a picture her only response was “so do you want your room cleaned?” with no apology of any kind. Having body fluids, especially blood left on a hotel wall shows there is a lack of attention to cleanliness in these rooms.

I was very disappointed with my stay for the price I paid. When I checked in, I was given a room that was already occupied. I was then given a different room with a cabinet door that would not stay closed. It was dangerous because you had to walk around it in order to get to the other side of the bed and table & chairs. I had to ask twice to have it fixed. Returning after a day out my room key did not work. The front desk issued me another key which also did not work. After returning to the front desk I was told maintenance would be up shortly to fix the door. After 20 minutes I asked the front desk how much longer it would be until someone could get us into our room and was told not long. After another 25 minutes I again asked the front desk for help and a different employee took a battery pack out and escorted us to our room and was able to charge the lock and let us in after only a few minutes. I am not sure why the 1st hotel clerk I spoke to could not have taken care of the problem 45 minutes earlier.

Our stay at Melrose Hotel ranks as the worst Ever! 1. At check in, they gave us a room that was previously used and not cleaned - while we received a new room, there was no acknowledgment of what happened. 2. The valet parking set up, given late check in, was adhoc, not well explained, with the front desk staff assuming it was fine to leave the car keys with a stranger without proper parking validation! 3. The approach, communication, follow through of the check in team was frankly appalling. The melrose is a strong & fragrant & inviting flower, the hotel bearing the same name has proven to be anything but!

Staff was super nice and accommodating. Had 2 rooms and the thermostat wouldn't work in either room and the fridge in one room wasn't working, but aside from those small things, it's a very nice property

It was very disappointing to find our very hot room had no air conditioning. Even more to find the building has All Heat, All AC or Neither and we were in the neither season. We were relocated to a new room that "tends to be cooler" but ultimately we had to regulate the temperature by opening and closing the window. This was especially difficult since it was in the low 40s over night so we would have to adjust them closed in the middle of the night.

Perfect location between Georgetown and Foggy Bottom. So walkable, and tons of options for shopping and eating. It was very easy to get to the Foggy Bottom Metro, Ubers were plentiful, and we also walked to the Lincoln Memorial one day. The hotel is nicely appointed and the communication from management was impeccable. Mobile key was easy to use. Only small improvement would be to update the bathrooms, but all was clean and comfortable.

Great location--easily walkable area and very short walk to the metro. Good restaurants nearby. It's an older hotel so the rooms are smaller and some improvements could be made, but overall a good stay. I recommend it.

The room was clean but it is old. The area is very walkable and there are many spots to grab a bite to eat. This hotel is very close to the National Mall. The bathroom is outdated and needs to be redone. The tiles were stained and the sink was cracked. I had to use earplugs because they are in a very busy area. There is no parking within a reasonable distance so expect that, the drop-off/check-in area was double-stacked when we arrived. I had to park in the bus lane. The young lady working the bar in the evening was absolutely wonderful. I understand the historical fees attached to such an establishment but they should be upfront about the prices, I didn't appreciate having an additional bill slid under my door after the first night. I will not be using this hotel the next time I stay in the Capitol.
