It is walking distance to the Brookland (5 min) train station. Very quiet neighborhood.We could hear the footsteps of the upstairs tennants some (it wasn't a problem for us). Rental is clean and has good ammenities. Kitchen had adequate dishes and utensiles, but is not set up for cooking much more than soup or frozen pizza. We did not have a car but rode public transportation and walked everywhere. Everything we needed was easily accessible: coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants, entertainment. Christopher was very communicative. The apartment was perfect! Clean, comfortable, well-appointed. Nice neighborhood (and had space for a car). We were less than 30 minutes from the Smithsonian museums and enjoyed our days there touring Arlington Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum, taking a ghost walk, eating out, and enjoying a couple of musical concerts. It is only a few stops on the metro away. It's bright for a basement.The rug in the living room is curled really bad and a tripping hazard. The bathroom and floors could have been cleaner. Unfortunately after a long week of work, our last night the long term tennant upstairs had a party. The party was in the advertised backyard and the unit right above us so it was quite loud. We had an early travel day the next day so not only were we not able to come back and rest peacefully after a long week but we also couldn't sleep due to the noise level.
