Recently upgraded and renovated, it boasts wheelchair accessible features such as a large master bathroom, ADA compliant, including a large roll-in shower. Ground floor accessibility and very close accessible parking stalls make access ideal. No elevators to have to deal with. You can roll right up to the sandy beach! If you are not in need of accessible features, this unit is still the perfect getaway. It is in a quiet area of the Makani A Kai condominium with lots of privacy. Adjacent to a wildlife preserve area and 4 miles of uninterrupted sandy beach, there is no other condominium to the south for miles. It is also directly adjacent to the best swimming area in Maalaea and a world-renown surf spot. The locals know that this beach is the best kept secret on Maui - away from the high-traffic tourist areas. We live and grew up on Maui and our own house is only minutes away! The condo is the further set back of the complex but has a private yard area off the lanai. Due to location, the car, the laundry, and access is really easy. No stairs. The park right next door, miles of beach with out many people; private, Nice Hawaiian style. Great space for family, central to the island in a quiet area away from bustle. The location is short walk to the beach which was very nice. The apartment itself is not in great shape as much of it is outdated, the AC worked very well though. Biggest complaint was the noise from the bathroom and the roosters that were directly outside of the building. The roosters would crow starting at 4 AM and made sleeping nearly impossible for my family and I. It is at the end of the street so fairly quiet. The condominium itself is in the back of the property, but the beach is only steps away. The beach is very secluded and we enjoyed wonderful quiet, sunrises and sunsets. We had very heavy rains and water came into one of the bedrooms from around the baseboards. The property is so convenient - just steps away from a beautiful beach with great swimming and snorkeling. The beach also extends for miles to the East, great for an early morning walk or run in relative solitude with the sun rising over Haleakala. A short walk to the outstanding Maui aquarium and a small shopping center with shave ice and a few restaurants. Maalaea is actually pretty centrally located too. The condo was really clean, cosy, and practical. The lanai looks out on the neighboring beach park and ocean. When we arrived it was nice and clean inside, and hidden in the back so it was nice and private. Beach was just a short beautiful walk down the path. The property opens into a gorgeous beach that was perfect for our kids 18, 16, 12 to go play in, and turtles always near the rocks! This was a perfect condo for our family!! ##### Rachel L. The location is great, right on a beautiful beach that goes for miles. Banana trees around the condo. Good central location for everything we wanted to see and do. The owner was quick to respond and let us have a later check out because of our late flight. The only thing is the beds are full sized and not queens.
