Beautiful Condo with Pool, Hot Tub Lovely one bedroom condo in the Fairway Terrace complex located in Waikoloa Village. Sitting at 800 ft elevation, Waikoloa Village offers nice breezes and slightly cooler temps than down at sea level. This condo is nicely located about 7 miles from the nearest beach and close to other wonderful beaches including the 2021 best beach in the United States, Hapuna Beach State Park. Welcome to your vacation home! M206 is on the upper floor with a lovely lanai you can enjoy your morning coffee from. Kitchen is quaint and open to the living room, stocked with coffee maker, utensils and dishware. Living room is nice and open and has all the space you need to relax after a day of adventuring around the island! The bedroom has a king sized bed, dresser, TV and AC unit. The AC is a standup AC unit in the bedroom for cooling. Most people find they don't need the AC when there's a nice breeze to open the windows and doors! The sofa is also a pull out sofa bed with a memory foam mattress. The washer/dryer are conveniently located off the kitchen, there are Tommy Bahama beach chairs, boogie board and a sun umbrella. The unit has an iron and ironing board plus ample closet space. This is a gated condo complex, one assigned parking space. This condo is located on the second floor, with about 20 stairs going up. Complex has a pool, jacuzzi and a lovely barbeque area. Just minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The Waikoloa Village Golf Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the driving range, putting green and clubhouse are located only a 5 minute walk away, with discounts available for those staying in the condo. The community pool, two tennis courts, and a marvelous bookmobile are adjacent, along with a casual bar and grill. Six other world-class golf courses are all within a 30 minute drive. Waikoloa Village is perfect for year round enjoyment: temperatures of 75-85 year-round, afternoon breezes, little rain and very few insects. It is also a great home base for exploring other parts of the island. Take the car to beautiful beaches, like Hapuna Beach or “69”, just 10-15 minutes away for great snorkeling, turtle-watching, and beach time, or stroll into one of the beach resorts for a sunset cocktail. Waimea, offering fine eateries, shopping and the historic Parker Ranch, is only 25 minutes away. Kona is 35 minutes away in the other direction, just past the airport, with all the hustle and bustle of a tourist destination. (Don’t forget Costco if you’re going into Kona.) The Highlands Shopping Center in Waikoloa –a quick drive or 10 minute walk from the condo-- contains a bustling and friendly supermarket for all your food, liquor, bakery, deli and pharmacy needs. The center also has a terrific restaurant (open late), various other eateries, bank, gas station, video and snorkel rental store, and more. All About Babies & Beaches extends a 15% discount to our guests for any rental equipment you might need. The AC unit in the bedroom has two speeds loud and louder, a unit with a low quite hummm speed is needed, you cannot turn on the AC unit when trying to sleep.The TV in the bedroom control devices did not work, one did nothing and the other turned on a static snow picture , could not get anything to work no matter which buttons we pressed, and the ones that controlled the TV in the living room also were very difficult to work, one control device again did nothing and the other after hours of playing finally worked but was very tricky to move around from channels etc. basically it was also a very poor device, certainly a younger person would not be able to understand , simple only one controllers like most places with TVs have is needed badly. thats the only two issues we had to us they were very important . ##### Peter H. Very well-appointed and updated. We had a last-minute trip planned for my daughters (18 and 20) to compete at a Tahitian dance comp in Hilo and wanted to be centrally located between our usual spots, Kona, Hapuna beach, and Hilo. Waikoloa was perfect and so was this condo! This place was quiet and off the beaten path which we appreciated. It has everything you could need including beach items. Please note air conditioning is only in the bedroom. Honestly, you don't really need it, but I do run hot (I only sleep with a flat sheet) so it was a welcome relief at night for me. My hubby and 2 daughters said it was more than comfy if it didn't exist. This place is comfortable for the 4 of us as a family with the pull-out sofa. There are only 2 things I would mention are very minor"drawbacks" to make this a complete review. There is only one bathroom with a barndoor closure, although I love the design, it does not give complete privacy. It's something to consider if sharing space. The other is although we were there for 8 days we had no issues with downstairs tenants about our "noise" level but on the last night, they did pound on the floor as we arrived from dinner, so the insulation may not be as sound resistant as condos usually are. Otherwise, EVERYTHING else was wonderful, and we would stay again if needed! Thank you Jane for checking in and ps. the girls took first place each in their age divisions! ##### Angel E. We did have one hiccup as the hose broke on the dishwasher and we were without water in the kitchen for two days with no dishes since they were all in the dishwasher. Smaller than what we usually book but it was certainly adequate for what we needed. This time we chose to stay in the village rather than below in the resort area. We have learned we prefer down at the resort since you have to drive down there for almost everything anyhow. Communication with the ladies at Hawai’i 4 Me was pleasant and quick. We found the condo to be very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Lots of hangers and well stocked kitchen and toiletries. However….there were many ants but we expect that in Hawaii. It seems to always be the case. We purchased a few traps and that helped a great deal. Just make sure you double check the blender before using it. ‘‘Twas a hot bed. After almost 2 weeks we did experience a few cockroaches. I was a bit disappointed in the very weak response when we contacted Hawaii 4 Me to let them know. No offer to move us. We were also quite disappointed to find out they were reroofing all the buildings. So my husband being on vacation from construction related work was not happy to hear a compressor and air gun running for the better part of the days. Our deck ended up being a total mess from the shingles. So over all I would say if you aren’t “bugged” by cockroaches this is a very decent condo given the very low nightly rate. ##### Colleen J. The unit is very clean, bed was very comfortable and great quality sheets and towels in the unit. A TV in the bedroom and living room is nice for retreating to the bedroom with A/C when it's warm. Kitchen was well appointed with all our needs. Great unit for a couple. The pool was about a 5min walk to the units next door, but easy to get to. Lounge chairs there were uncomfortable. My only negatives (if I had any) were that you have to park on the street and walk in when you first arrive to get the keys out of the unit to get in the gate. It took us a bit to find the unit at first. It's the second driveway, not the first where the office is at. Also, since the AC unit is in the bedroom, two things. The living room can run a bit warm once the sun comes out. We found running the living room fan with the back facing the bedroom helped a little to pull in the cooler air and opening the balcony door in the evening when the sun goes down. And since the unit for AC is in the window, the shutter stays open, so privacy is limited, especially at night when people can see in your window. But it is the second floor, so that's helpful. And just one last heads up. Parking is a bit tight, so if you're renting a large vehicle, you may have to park somewhere other than the provided stall.
