« Amazing 3-night stay! The A-frame is perfect- decorated beautifully and so cozy & comfortable with everything we needed. Mornings and evenings by the fire were wonderfully relaxing and there is nothing like an outdoor shower. It’s also perfectly situated between Keene Valley (which will always have my heart) and Lake Placid (and my favorite stretch of route 73 by Upper and Lower Cascade Lakes). « We stayed here as our son was competing in the Lake Placid Ironman. This location was perfect. Short drive to Lake Placid. The property was exactly as described and even better in person. It's cute and cozy. The Jay area is beautiful and would love to come back and hike in the area, as the cabin is close to many trail heads(short drive, under 15 minutes) Shannon's communication was outstanding! « Great cabin, very responsive and kind hosts, great location. We stayed for a long weekend with two little kids- great location for hiking and sight seeing. The kids loved the hot tub and loft area. The only suggestion I would have for families with kids is to bring a gate, the stairs are steep. Otherwise we had a great time. Will definitely re-book! »

« Our stay at Tacklebox was lovely. The cabin is spotlessly clean and very cozy with thoughtful amenities you would expect at a luxury resort: a beautiful sauna, Japanese soaking tub, nice bath products, outdoor grill, outdoor shower, a firepit, 2 kayaks, a canoe, etc. Access to Lake Champlain from a private dock was easy and the view across the lake from the cabin's deck was spectacular, especially at sunset. All in all, we had a wonderful and peaceful stay at the Tacklebox. »

« Wonderful little property with enough wilderness to feel peaceful but not too far off the main roads. Be careful on the stairs - especially in sock feet - I’m 5’5” and was fine, my 6’6” husband was also fine but went up on all fours. Which was a laugh to see. Clean, cozy, comfortable bed, everything worked well, would love to come back someday. »

« Cozy, cute, comfy, private, and tranquil indeed. Didn’t want to stay in busy Lake Placid, which was not too far for me. The sauna and hot tub were a huge plus. 5 stars for two nights. If more nights, it probably would be a 4 star for me because it was not really roomy for me, a big guy. The host communicated and responded well. You can use hosts’ two small kayaks and enjoy paddling in Mirror Lake! »

« Our stay at Giant’s View cabin was a one of adventure and tranquility! The cabin itself was very warm and inviting. The views of the mountains were spectacular! Our favorite part outside of hiking and fishing was rocking in the comfy chairs in the screened in porch. The weather was hot while we were there but we stayed cool by utilizing the provided fans. We even got to see a family of deer crossing in front of the cabin. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to get away...

« We could not have asked for a better setting for relaxing away from it all. Cabin was very well equipped allowing us to prepare our own meals. The location right at the water with its own beach was ideal for reading a book or casting a line. Property owners were very responsive and perfect hosts!
