Our house sits on the quiet end of a cul-de-sac on a double lot. You'll have the entire home to yourself and relax surrounded by old growth Koa trees and our rolling lawn. Nate's Place offers a comfortable living room, a small dining room and galley kitchen well stocked for cooking and enjoying local produce. The main bedroom has a king sized bed, walk-in closet and full bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin size beds and there is a second full bathroom. A laundry room with washer and dryer is also available for your use. The home features a wall unit electric heater in the dining room that effectively heats the common areas of the home. There are three space heaters and plenty of warm blankets for comfortable sleeping on the nights when the weather turns chilly. Our neighborhood is just a mile from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park with hundreds of miles of hiking trails and sometimes active LAVA in the crater deep within the park. Visitors flock to Volcano all year enjoying our temperate climate. Our property and the park are full of native song birds for those ornithologists and casual bird watchers alike. The yard is wide open with room to breath and watch the pheasant's and rooster's cruising around. The place is really quiet at night and the beds are comfortable. The two love seats are a little outdated but it's okay. The communication from the team was excellent with pre check-in information as well as a point of contact during our stay. The location is very close to the entrance of Hawaii Volcano's National Park. We were very pleased with the property and would stay here again. Mahalo! ##### Russ A. It was clean and comfortable. Pros were: cleanliness, comfy beds, couches and blankets, purified water, lots of space heaters, and location. Cons were: difficulty checking in and no coffee/tea or board games. Some places have coffee/tea and board games and some don't, but it would have been nice and made the cabin even better. We didn't receive the check in instructions in advance so we were desperately trying to contact them on the day of check in to get them, and communication was slow and difficult before we got a response. Once they sent the instructions to us and we were able to get in the cabin, our stay was lovely. So if you stay here, definitely make sure you receive the check in instructions well in advance. ##### D M. The property manager was helpful and responsive to an early check-in when our flight came in. The place was comfortable and quiet. We spent most of our time at the park but it was nice to have a home base close by. ##### John S. Unfortunately the listing said there was a gas fireplace which was one of the main reasons I booked this place. We're suckers for a fireplace. Anyway, I believe they've changed that verbiage now. Heaters throughout so you can get warm on cold nights. Suggestions would be to fully stock the kitchen better, its far from fully stocked. And it needs more lighting, too dark when traveling with elderly parents. The driveway gets muddy fast without any gravel laid down. But wasn't a major issue getting in and out. The best part of this property is the property itself, huge back yard, birds walking around, quiet and peaceful and the neighborhood is upscale by Volcano standards and neighbors are friendly. We would rent again but hoping they can tweak a few things to take it from good, to great! Management is awesome by the way. Highly recommend renting from them. ##### Martie L. Can’t beat the proximity to Volcanoes National Park! The neighborhood is very remote with very little restaurant options in Volcano Village—bring groceries with! The property is stunning and it is evident that upgrades have been made recently. There are ants, but traps are placed throughout the home. The are a nuisance, but did not impact our stay. Overall, if you’re looking for a place close to the national park with a bit of a “rural” vibe, this is it! ##### Paige P.
