Dissapointed, Not as expected

Before I begin, when I write a review, I keep future vacation renters at the forefront. I include information that I appreciate receiving from others.On a positive note, the condo was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and even had multiple coffee makers. The icemaker was jammed when we arrived, but we were able to fix that on our own. The master bedroom had a queen bed instead of a king per the listing.We have stayed at this complex for years and always stay in an oceanfront unit. This condo is NOT oceanfront. You do not view the Atlantic Ocean and are not steps from the sand.The view is of the back bay, which is pretty; however, with the balcony's location on the back side of the building, the western afternoon sun is too intense to enjoy sitting outside to view the fantastic sunsets.In addition, the highway beneath was very loud at times, and trash trucks were emptying dumpsters. The TV was difficult to watch at best. There was only a Roku remote, but nothing with a keypad to change channels. We looked in the notebook the owners had put together for instructions, and though there was a section for the TV, it had no pages or instructions. Check-in and out was a bit of a pain. First, we had to park our car, then walk a fair distance to the locker to obtain our key to the unit. Then, we had to go up to the unit to obtain the parking pass and go back down. We had to do the reverse when checking out. I would not stay again.

Not a 5-Star ExperienceOur stay was okay, but definitely not what we expected for the price or based on the listing. While the unit itself was better than the overall property, cleanliness was a big issue. There was hair in the tub upon arrival, which required the cleaners to come back. Bath mats had dirt and sand on them, and there was open packaged food left in the cabinets — not something you want to find when you first arrive.The towels and linens were extremely worn out and felt like they were over 10 years old — not good quality by any stretch. The balcony was so dirty that we didn’t use it at all, which was disappointing since it was something we were really looking forward to.We stayed for 6 nights and paid a premium, but the experience fell short of expectations. This wasn’t a 5-star stay, and it’s important for future guests to have realistic expectations based on honest reviews.
