While it's not particularly tall (about as tall as the pyramid at the Louvre), I found it quite beautiful and particularly well-proportioned. I like to think that, given it's rather late construction date (~1200AD), it was the culmination of centuries of refinement. It will be an all day excursion but well worth it. Go as early as possible with a reputable and knowledgeable tour company (we used Thomas Moore) and in a small group. We were there in the month of June and arrived mid morning. As we were leaving, the place was starting to get packed with all the larger tour buses and was getting very warm. I have also visited Tulum in June but was disappointed after have already visited Chichen Itza. The staff, especially Kat and Steph were amazing and welcoming us like old friends. Cleaning crew put cute birthday decorations as a surprise. The beach club staff super quick and friendly. Great location with the walks to each of the opposite sides of the beach. We had all the places accessible to us by walking on the beach. Had a great time celebrating Delek’s Bday weekend with sick music and great people which was one of the highlights of our stay. I do have to say, they send out a note that it’s a loud location and there will be noise. Unfortunately, I underestimated it because the noise from all of the restaurants, hotels around was insane. Till 2am we had a sound party in our room every night. But we still had such a good time, even the noise didn’t ruin our stay, we just stayed up longer and slept in the morning. Note to the staff, please fix a hole in the roof as it was dripping when it rained and got onto our clothes and suitcase. Thanks for having us and we will definitely be back hopefully sooner than later. Airport (TQO) 8.6/10 Excellent! (251 reviews) This property is beautiful and clean. Staff is welcoming, attentive and pleasant. The beach is stunning and the vibe is calm and zen. The room does not have a mini fridge which was very surprising to learn upon arrival to our room considering we are in a hot climate. The room also does not have a hair dryer or a coffee maker. In my opinion those should be included especially for the price of the room. The food was good however like everywhere in Tulum, extremely expensive, example you will pay around 30$CAN for a Margarita. There is a taco spot just accross the street which was good and comparable to North American pricing. The Starbucks is also right next to the hotel but the prices are absolutely ridiculous. All in all, I do not think the whole experience was worth the money spent. Because of these reasons despite the hotel itself being beautiful, I would not return.
