![This photo was taken from the Blue Ridge Parkway, in Watauga County in Boone. I chose this to post this photo because it gave me an idea of the way the people that founded this county lived. They worked on these mountains and possible even lived of the land here. Also, when you look out into the miles of mountains, I get the feeling of safety knowing these mountains surround me, and thats how I feel the Appalachian community is, a safe and humble community.

« We had a great time during our visit! The house is very cozy and provides a lot of entertainment for all ages. The game room provided endless fun for my neices (and surprisingly for the adults as well). The views are incredible and the layout of the living room allows for amazing views even during the cold. The beds were comfortable and we always felt well rested. The house itself is very close to the main area of Boone so you are within miles of grocery stores and things to do. I would...

« We rented this cabin last minute after being unable to access our original booking due to ice/snow, and we were not at all disappointed! This cabin was beautifully decorated, cozy/comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect! Easy access even with the snow and ice and within walking distance of both downtown Boone and a park to walk our dogs. Kelly was a great host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. »

« We love this neighborhood at the top of seven devils - it has great views of grandfather mountain and is quiet and peaceful.
