The entrance to the Arena Amphitheater is less than a 15-minute walk from Romeo and Juliet's Balcony. All the main public transport lines, including those for the Railway Station and the Verona Fair, stop at 100 meters. from the entrance of the building, as well as those directed to the Ospedale Civile di Borgo Trento, which can be reached on foot in about ten minutes. The street is also well served by elegant bars and cafes, as well as a couple of well-stocked supermarkets. Recently renovated and equipped with every comfort (air conditioning, TV and Wi-Fi broadband internet connection), the apartment still maintains the original typical plant of the twentieth century Italian, while the rooms are different for the furniture inspired by the different moments of the twentieth century, distinctly represented by period furniture that characterizes them (the '30s,' 50s, '70s and' 80s), in order to ensure guests pleasant stays surrounded by elegance and comfort together with the experience of a short but authentic journey in the recent past. The accommodation has an entrance hall, a living room with a double sofa bed, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom with two beds that can not be joined, a balcony and a veranda, an equipped kitchen and 2 complete bathrooms; can accommodate up to a maximum of six newborn people. Great host This apartment is superbly situated in the Borgo Trento district of Verona, with its own shops, bars, restaurants and pizzerias and yet is only a 10 minute walk into the heart of Verona and the Arena. The gated car parking was a plus for us as we had hired a car. The Wifi was excellent. We've used Vrbo and HomeAway before that for nearly 20 years now and Mirta is the best host we have ever encountered. She did "host" us and personally met us and showed us around. The accommodation was really nice and comfortably furnished. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess Mirta. Communication with her before the trip also went without a hitch and was very friendly. The accommodation is very close to the center, you can walk into the city within ten minutes. Everything was ready for our baby in the accommodation, even an extra crib was available. There are also games and a high chair for older children.It is important to mention that the accommodation is located directly on a busy road and in the evenings you can hear the road noise in the rooms that are on the road. As a farewell gift, Mirta embroidered a bib for us with my daughter's name. The check-in process was seamless, and our host was incredible, giving us advice and information, including a map of Verona. The apartment had everything we needed and was super clean. It was the little things that made us feel at home - adapters for our charging cables, coffee pods and some little treats for the kids. The location of the apartment is ideal - it takes less than a10min walk to get to the old center. The bus stop (taking you to the station) is opposite, with buses running every ten minutes. The little shop is a 2min walk away and there were bars, restaurants and ice cream shops on the doorstep. On day two we took the bus to the station and then onto the direct train to Venice (it was packed, but as we were at the station well before departure time, we got a seat. I also pre-booked and the return journey was only just over 60Euros). On day three we took the Bus from the Arena (a ten-minute walk) to Lazise (that took an hour but was cheap), then the ferry to Sirmione (which was around 35 Euros for all of us one way) and then first a shuttle from Sirmione old town to a suburb area where we took a direct bus back to Verona. It felt a bit like an adventure, and we had an overall great time. We loved the fact that we didn't need a car and that everything was easily accessible. Our host was communicative and accommodating, just a wonderful person. She included several suggested activities. The apartment was really neat, very comfortable, even during the heat wave in Italy while we were there.
