Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below: Indoor Areas This single-story home has a large open plan kitchen (with WIP), dining/living room. From the dining room you can access the main living room (with smart TV and Chromecast attached, CD, DVD player, and coonara-style wood heater. Please note, firewood is not provided, however guests can purchase some at the local service station if required) which provides access through to the large covered outdoor deck. The master bedroom has an en-suite (with shower, basin and toilet). Bedroom 2 (with WIR) and 3 (with BIR) share a duel access bathroom (with shower, basin and toilet). From the laundry there’s also an additional separate toilet. The double garage has been turned into a games room with table tennis table, surfboards and kayak. Outdoor Areas The enclosed front, back and rear yard is perfect for the kids. Outdoor living is catered for as well, with a sheltered deck with cafe blinds opening off the living room. This delightful space is equipped with a gas BBQ and an outdoor setting. Ample parking is provided, with off-street parking in the spacious driveway for several vehicles, including a boat, and with the Cowes boat ramp within an easy 10-minute drive, this home will suit fishing and boating enthusiasts alike. Kitchen The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Breville Dripolator coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, pantry, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and gas cook top. Heating/Cooling Systems The home is equipped with a reverse-cycle split system unit in the living area. There’s a ceiling fan in the master bedroom and there is a coonara-style wood heater in the living area, complete with fireguard and wood not supplied. Bedding Configuration This home has 6 beds plus 1 foldout sofa bed, accommodating up to 12 guests: Bedroom 1: One Queen bed Bedroom 2: One Double bed Bedroom 3: Two Double beds and a set of King Single bunks There is also a fold-out Queen-size divan in the second living area suitable for two adults. Linen It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged. Peak Periods Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up. Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. However big issue was the heating options available. Really cold this time of year and we find the property has only 1 reverse cycle air conditioner that too in the living room. No other heating in the house the bedrooms were freezing cold. The fireplace was out of order, there was no mention of this when we booked. It was so cold in the house that no one could get a good nights sleep on the first night. The next day we find out there is an electricity outage on the island and power will not be available all day. So this meant we just couldn’t continue to stay and enjoy the holiday. So we just left the next day and didn’t do anything on our holiday and came back home. Extremely disappointed! ##### Samir A. Loved the seperate living areas, plenty of space to sit, large rec room with table tennis. Beds were comfortable and location was peaceful and quiet. 10 minute drive into town. We had a visit each morning from a friendly rooster waiting at the front door haha. Dog friendly property, secure yard (not super high fences but very secure) and separated into 2 areas which was good, even though it had rained the day before the rocks in the yard made sure the pups didn't get muddy so was perfect! Wood fire heater wasn't working, while the split system was good for the back of the house and bedrooms, it would have been nice to have a fire going to assist in trying to heat the front of the house. ##### Rikki S.
