Hotel San Salvador is a quirky hotel down a narrow Venetian street, up a narrow staircase and has odd shaped rooms with small en-suites decorated in very Venetian style. We've never seen towels made out of tea towel material before, but they do the job. What you get here is a comfortable bed, a decent shower, a nice small balcony from which you can watch a boat or two drift past and, most of all,a really friendly, warm welcome with lots of advice on how to best enjoy this incredible city. You also get an almost unmatchable location, literally 2 minutes walk from Rialto Bridge. There is a huge number of cafes, restaurants and bars on the doorstep and within a few minutes walk. You can walk to Piazza San Marco in 5 minutes or so. All of this comes at a price that you won't find anywhere else outside of the peripheral, secondary areas of the city. Why look elsewhere? El personal fue muy servicial conmigo en todo momento, incluso asistiéndome en un percance que tuve al poco tiempo de llegar. Ambra and her staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and provided excellent service and tips about the best places to eat and how to maximize our time spent in Venice. Such a wonderful place! Right near the Rialto Bridge. Centrally located and just a quick walk to San Marco Square. The room is small but comfortable. Perfect for Venice as you want to be out and about. The Innkeeper was incredibly nice. I believe her name is Ambra. So helpful. So pleasant. I will stay there again when I go back. Make sure you save directions when they email you. Tough to find. Located down a small alley way next to the (ugh) Disney Store. Ring the bell, up one flight of stairs.
