There is a split floor plan with each bedroom separated by the living room with their own private baths. Provided are many amenities to make your vacation relaxing, including beach chairs, umbrella, shark's tooth strainer, beach toys and two beach cruiser bicycles. The tropical back yard is fully fenced for the safety of your pets and children. Breezy Villa is only 7 miles or 14 minutes from the new Atlanta Braves "Cool Today" stadium where they play their Spring Training games in late February and March. Proximity to the Gulf of Mexico brings almost constant breezes to this adorable villa. Throw open all the windows and the double French doors and enjoy the fresh ocean air! Visit beautiful Venice Island only 3 minutes north. Shop, eat and enjoy the many wonderful activities only minutes away, including the Venice Rookery where you can see Bald Eagles and other exotic large birds, the weekly Venice Farmer's Market, Warm Mineral Springs or travel 20 minutes north to Sarasota for the Mote Marine Aquarium or Myakka River Park where you can see alligators in their natural habitat from an air boat. Venice, Florida is known as the 'Shark's Tooth Capital of the World' and minutes from Caspersen Beach where you can scoop shark's teeth right out of the shallows. Don't worry, these teeth aren't new, they're prehistoric. On one side of Breezy Villa is the master suite with double doors that close creating a three-room cozy and private retreat from the rest of the home. The master bedroom features a comfortable King size bed and a walk-in closet with plenty of room for your clothes. The master bathroom has a bath tub and shower. Feel extra pampered after your shower with the plush spa towels and waffle cotton spa robe provided for you during your stay. The third space is a separate office area with a full length desk. Close the master bedroom door, throw your laptop on the desk and surf with high speed wireless Internet with no worries about disturbing someone sleeping. The second bedroom includes a Queen sized bed and a roomy closet for all of those new “Shark's Tooth Capital” t-shirts. It also boasts its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. Also offered are two Simmons DreamSleep folding twin beds with very comfy memory foam mattresses and recently added is a Queen sofa bed in the living room with the new living room sofa set. Sheets provided for all extra beds. The living room lets you sit back and relax between all of that hard work of laying on the beach and features HD TV with loads of HD channels and the ability to record your favorite shows while you are out, wireless Internet access (Free WiFi). In the dining room, throw open the French doors and let the breeze pour in as you enjoy a little coffee or tea at the shaded patio table. The back patio invites you to cook on the propane grill and dine outside while enjoying the Florida sunshine or comfortable nights under the palm trees while being serenaded by tree frogs and crickets. Relax there and watch your kids or pets play in the fenced yard, chasing the cute little geckos. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, gadgets and updated appliances – including dishwasher. Also included are basic spices, coffee and sugar to get you started. Next to the kitchen is a full laundry room with washer and dryer for drying those wet bathing suits, washing those towels you were sitting on at the beach or getting your clothes cleaned of one adventure and ready for the next. Nearby is a heated outdoor Olympic pool at the Venice YMCA which has great daily, weekly or monthly rates to use the entire facility. Venice is a very beautiful and laid back city and you're sure to meet other friendly people biking and walking as you take a stroll or walk your dog. Everything else was great. We were looking for a comfortable place to spend a couple of weeks to finish out the midwestern winter. Overall, everything was great. We loved the layout and it was very comfortable. The neighborhood is OK but the house is on a busy street. It made it a little challenging to walk the dog since there are no sidewalks. The location is great. Close to shopping, restaurants and minutes from the beach, old downtown Venice and the YMCA which has a great pool. If I could make a couple of suggestions or recommendations they would be the following (and these are highly personalized: 1) We love to cook and this is not a "cooks kitchen'. The "spices" were salt, pepper and garlic powder, so if you like to cook, bring your own. Pots and pans were adequate but there wasn't a dish/pan to bake to bake brownies. Other dishes and utensils were fine. 2) Add a TV to the bedrooms. We brought a small TV with us for the bedroom so it wasn't a big issue but since everything is Wi-Fi connected this could be done for a minimal cost. 3) The backyard is pretty sandy and not really a "lawn" but probably pretty typical for the area. We are used to Kentucky Bluegrass in the Midwest and our dog did not particularly care for the yard. He's rather finicky anyway. He tiptoed out and did his business but did not care to play out there. Overall, a very good experience! ##### Michael L. Jan 18, 2019 #### Cozy, Comfortable and Convenient Quick and easy to access beaches, parks, trails and shopping in Venice. Had all the amenities that we needed for cooking/grilling family meals, doing laundry and going to the beach (even bikes and a pass for the ferry). Not to mention a nice back yard for the doggie. I had several questions and the owner always responded to my texts within a few minutes. There was plenty of room for the four of us (nice each room had it's own bathroom), and we really enjoyed our stay! ##### A G. We rented based on location, the pictures and reviews. The villa was all that was described and more! We were in Venice for the second stage of the LPGA Qualifying school. We needed a place where my daughter could come back to and relax after each day of tough competition with the goal of advancing, and it worked! It was great to stay somewhere that truly felt like "home" with all the comforts of home! Thank you Ruth for keeping such a tranquil property. I believe it’s the little things to sometimes push the point. Breezy Villa had loads, slippers, bath robes, snacks, full fluffy towels, beach toys, bikes and more. Apr 2, 2017 #### Venice 2017 Breezy Villa was an Absolutely great experience. Home was exceptionally clean and everything we could ask for was provided. Location was great as I could walk to a great pilates studio and other fun spots. The back yard was fenced for our PWD and she loved it. Hasn't quite figured out the geikos yet !!Ruth was very helpful and we have already booked with her for next year. yeah!! ##### Ted D. Each year, a friend & I escape to FL for a week, This year we decided to try Venice in July. Our stay at Breezy Villa couldn't have been better! Breezy Villa was very clean & beautifully equipped - even fresh flowers on the dining table! Very good lay-out. We loved taking the ferry to the S. Venice private beach. We went early & left before it got really hot. The ferry ride takes about 5 min & it's a great way to meet locals & learn about the turtles. We enjoyed the Rookery & Sleeping Turtle, Clyde Butcher's showroom & studio. My dog loved the backyard & neighborhood for walks. And we really recommend The Upper Crust and, of course, Sharkey's! Nov 21, 2017 #### Delightful and Peaceful First impressions of the exterior of the home are deceiving. Basic looking home on the outside BUT incredibly inviting and tastefully decorated on the inside. Neighborhood is overall quiet and safe! Some street traffic noise at night since this house sits on one of the primary roads in the neighborhood. Not a problem just noticeable. All information on the listing is accurate and Ruth goes out of her way to make sure you have everthing you need in terms of kitchen items; bath items and beach items. The bikes are great! The beach equipment is great! The ferry to the beach is convenient and fun!!! A must stay place for convenience to shops; stores; restaurants and the BEACH!!! We really enjoyed our stay and would return without question again to this or another property that Ruth has to offer!!! ##### Jim W. We like the Venice area however, have never stayed there until finding this gem. For the month my wife and I plus my sister and little dachshund were the occupants. Another couple visited us for 3 nights. The home is nicely furnished and equipped, the 2 bedrooms each size of the main room hence nicely separated, a nice back yard, deck adequate although a little small around the (small) barbecue. A lanai would have been great although I suspect another price bracket! Great location for riding my bicycle - 50km round trip along the heritage trail towards Sarasota, c. 30km to Manasota Key. Short distance to the ferry to the private beach. Handy for shopping (Walmart, Publix, etc.), Venice high street, and the great restaurant at Venice airport! BTW worth a visit if you like planes - and lots of different stuff occasionally there including, really, a B-29\. The hidden bonus - the very best landlady Ruth Miller. ##### Martin H. ### 6/10 Okay #### gerald b. May 12, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication #### Just okay Don't get me wrong; the owner was nice to work with and responsive to many of our concerns (coffeemaker inoperable and lousy vacuum), but there are some issues that you wouldn't know about unless you stay there. It is on a very busy, noisy road in a subdivision where traffic is heavy. The backyard is just dirt and weeds. Our dog didn't even like to go out there. She'd come back with prickers in her feet. The house, although well equipped, needs a thorough cleaning (fans, vents, faux plants and screens were all very dusty and dirty). Bed was very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped for the most part. Dishwasher is old and rusting on the interior, but functional. There is NO pass to the beach as described in the ad and it was $300 to buy one. The owner did not let us know this before we arrived. The pictures are probably 10 years old (as are the magazines and restaurant guides in the welcome book) The worst part is by far the back yard!!! ##### gerald b. This house has its pros and cons. The check-in process was extremely easy and Ruth was very quick in responding to emails. She also sent a lot of information on things to do and dog friendly parks and restaurants. The home was comfortable and had everything you need to cook right at home which we did every night. I really liked the large laundry room with a long counter to set things on and fold clothes. It was also nice to have a garage for parking the car in. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of towels. One thing that was a bit disappointing is that there are no sidewalks for walking your dog(s). The road is narrow and we didn’t feel comfortable walking our dogs here. However, just down the road is a really nice park with walking paths. We took our dogs there every morning for a long walks. The house has a nice fenced in back yard. It was nice to be able to let the dogs out and not worry about them running off. One thing that I think would have been nice is if the patio area were screened in. If you do not mind getting eat up by mosquitos then it is OK. However, they love me so sitting outside was not for me. There are several disappointing things about this place. Though in general the home was clean, there are places that could use some attention (I'm a clean freak). One is the oven, which was extremely dirty and does not look like it has been cleaned in a long time. Also, in the kitchen there is an open ceiling light that was full of dead bugs. The light bulb in the living room ceiling fan went out and when we took the globe off it too had dead bugs in it, which we cleaned out before replacing the globe. While we were there, we had a few cold nights and days and though we had the heat on, the master bedroom and bathroom were really cold. Luckily, I found a couple of blankets to add to the bed. The rest of the house was fine except for these two areas. Then the last thing that was disappointing is when we took some of the beach items with us to the beach, mainly the shade umbrella, we discovered that the whole umbrella is broken. So we were not able to spend as much time at the beach as we had hoped for that day. I’m not sure why this broken umbrella hasn’t been thrown out and replaced. Makes me wonder if things don’t get looked at over time. Overall this wasn’t too bad of a place but some more attention to cleaning and a bit of updating of the interior would make this place much nicer. ##### Marjorie A. An older property clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Pictures posted show what you are getting with no hidden surprises. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was that there was no pass, as stated in listing, for the South Venice Ferry to get to the beach close to the house. So we had to drive to the public beaches.
