Between SAN MARCO, RIALTO and BIENNALE, 50 meters from Campo Santa Maria Formosa. \- Prestigious and convenient area for everything and for all directions. \- Near the Ponte dei SOSPIRI and SAN MARCO \- The apartment is on the FIRST FLOOR. The house is large (approximately 100 square meters), welcoming, and features the distinctive features of a typical Venetian home: original wooden beams in the ceilings, bright arched windows, and beautiful parquet floors. The apartment combines classic Venetian style with elegant modern finishes. \- 2 LARGE BEDROOMS One of the two bedrooms has a spacious walk-in closet with sliding doors, while the other has an en suite bathroom. \- 2 BATHROOMS, tiled in original Bisazza mosaic, made from authentic Murano glass, and are equipped with a hairdryer, heated towel rail, liquid soap, rugs, towels, etc. Both bathrooms have spacious showers. Each bedroom and each room has independent heating and air conditioning. \-A complete set of table linens, sheets, and towels is provided. \-THE KITCHEN is fully equipped with a toaster, drip coffee maker, dishwasher, and microwave. To best welcome you, you'll also find a selection of essentials you might need during your stay: pepper, salt, sugar, coffee, pasta, vinegar, oil, wipes, toilet paper, detergents, garbage bags, and much more. All accompanied by a pleasant welcome surprise! \- FREE WIFI fast fiber \- digital TV BIG 55 \-Netflix Etc... Once you arrive at our apartment, you'll immediately notice the convenience of the amenities available to you. On the ground floor, you'll find a quiet restaurant serving traditional Venetian cuisine, an ice cream parlor, a mini market, and a self-service laundry (H24), ideal for making your stay even more convenient. A large "COOP" supermarket is also just a 3-minute walk away. In the immediate vicinity we also find, a baker's, a greengrocer's, various shops and cicchetterie. The main vaporetto station of San Zaccaria - San Marco is just 150 meters away. It is the most important crossroads because from here, all the Vaporetti arrive and depart for every direction, including for the airport. The house has all the features that will make your stay cozy and with a warm and family atmosphere. The apartment is in a convenient area to access all the most famous attractions of Venice (from Piazza San Marco, with its marvelous Basilica, to the modern art exhibition of the Biennale). The apartment is just 5 minutes from San Marco, 5 minutes from San Zaccaria, 1 minute from Santa Maria Formosa, 8 minutes from Rialto and much more. Near there are many pubs and restaurants. Very important: it is in the center of Venice, but it is absolutely in a quiet and peaceful area. Just 30 meters away you can visit the famous "Grimani" history palace and the famous and ancient Malipiero Palace Just 50 meters away is the Piazza (Campo) of Santa Maria Formosa with its famous Basilica. Just 200 meters away there is a large Market-Coop always open continuously. The beach (Lido) can be reached in just 10 minutes. ADVICE TO ARRIVE TO THE APARTMENT: A) - TRAIN (SANTA LUCIA) If you arrive by TRAIN (Santa Lucia Station) you have to take the Vaporetto LINEA 2B which runs every 10 minutes in front of the station. The Vaporetto will cross the magnificent Grand Canal and in just 10 minutes you will be in Rialto In Rialto, when you go down, I will be there to take you to the apartment with a short walk of 5 - 10 minutes. B) - BY CAR OR BUS (PIAZZALE ROMA) If you arrive by CAR to the station of Piazzale Roma (close to that of the trains) you have to deposit the car in a municipal parking fee, or park a few kilometers before (near the airport) or near the train station in Mestre city, where there are large cheaper parking. From there, take the bus or train to Venice that will take you to Piazzale Roma or Santa Lucia train station. (From Piazzale Roma or from the railway station do everything as explained in point A). IMPORTANT SUGGESTION: every ACTV line VAPORETTO ride costs 9,50 euros and lasts 75 minutes, I would advise you to buy the Tourist Travel Card (ACTV) based on your days of stay. (https://www.venise.net/travel-card) It is very convenient and saves time and money. You can move with the Linea water bus, where you want and how many times you want. C) - AIRPORT (3 solutions) 1 - From the Airport the furthest way to get directly to the flat is to take a Taxi-boat (RECOMMENDED) that will take you in just 25 minutes, through the Lagoon, directly in Campo SANTA MARIA FORMOSA, very close to the apartment (50 meters). It costs about 100-130 euros each trip: for example if you are 4 person, you will divide 30 euros each. You can also book online. (https://www.motoscafivenezia.com/en/) P.S. You have to ask the driver to bring you to Campo Santa Maria Formosa. The Taxi-boat will stop behind the church of Santa Maria Formosa. or 2 - From the airport you can take the bus (or a taxi-car) and go to the Piazzale Roma station and then do everything as in point A). or 3 - From the airport another convenient solution, less fast, but a little cheaper (16 Euro person), is to take the ALILAGUNA LINEA BLU OR ORANGE vaporetto and BLU (70 minutes) get to SAN ZACCARIA (San Marco) very close to the apartment (150 meters), and ORANGE (35 minutes) get to RIALTO (300 meters from apartment). Line BLUE AND ORANGE departure alternates every 30 minutes You can also book online. (https://www.alilaguna.it/en) P.S. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. Ornello was a welcoming host. Recently remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, clean throughout, 3 a/c units (1 for each bedroom, 1 central) to make it the temperature you like, spacious, with plenty of closet space, and comfortable beds. It is ideally situated, with only about a short walk to San Marco and the south part of Venice and the Rialto bridge.. Our refrigerator had fresh water, chocolate, coffee & a bottle of wine. There was enough fresh fruit that we couldn't finish it all in 5 days. You have pots, pans, silverware, glasses, plates, a microwave, 4-burner stove, etc. if you would like to dine in, a comfortable sofa with a TV, travel books to read, and 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortably firm beds. Between the ambience, location, quiet (except for the occasional, brief, tour group), furnishings, and the delightful owner (who will meet your water taxi and guide you to the apartment), we had a safe, relaxing homebase from which to explore Venice. This is the place we will book on our next trip to Venice. Compared to other properties, and the tiny hotel rooms available, this is unbeatable! ##### Neil A. We asked for a crib and he had it all set up and even sent us pictures of it.Once we booked he gave us multiple options and tips to get to the apartment. Once we got to the dock he was there to meet us and bring our suitcases to the apartment. We got in and he showed us around and it was fully stocked with everything we needed. The apartment was in a great location, very close to many sights. Lots of great restaurants around. The apartment was fabulous and far exceeded our expectations. It was so clean, cool (excellent air con in each room) and comfortable with stunning bathrooms and in a great location too. Nello made us feel really welcome at check in, he met us from the vaporetto and showed us to the apartment where he had provided many unexpected touches: an enormous bowl of fresh fruit, crisps and water for us to enjoy. They met us at the vaporetto stop and gave us a little tour of the neighborhood on our way to the apartment. They explained all the features and how to use the various equipment/appliances, gave us restaurant recommendations and left us with some delightful snacks. The apartment is in a great location between Rialto and S Marco, a bustling neighborhood that was quiet at bedtime. The air conditioning worked great and the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. It is spacious and the showers were a very nice size. The beds were very comfy. A friend and I rented Bighouse apartment for 5 days in December 2022\. It was perfect! Nello was in touch with us before we arrived to let us know exactly which vaporetto to take from the train station. He met us at the Rialto bridge with umbrellas, since it was raining, and walked us to the apartment while pointing out places of interest along the way. The apartment itself - on the first floor so only one set of stairs - was spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. Everything we needed was provided. There was a full kitchen that even had an American coffee maker, plenty of pots, pans, dishes, tableware. The living area had comfortable, stylish seating and a modern TV which we used in the evening to improve our Italian by watching Italian shows. The two bedrooms each had a very comfortable queen bed and the bathrooms were luxurious. There was a towel warmer and the sinks and showers were tiled with gorgeous Murano glass tiles. The photos truly do not do this apartment justice! On top of his warm welcome, Nello left us a huge bowl full of fresh fruit and chilled Prosecco in the fridge. If I could give this apartment more than a five star rating, I would. The location was also excellent, with St Mark’s Square, the Rialto bridge, and the vaporetto stop for Murano all within a ten minute walk. Nello recommended several restaurants right in the area, which were excellent and not in the touristy areas, so had more authentic Venetian offerings. It is a beautiful unit that has been updated with all modern conveniences, the location is perfect to get around Venice, and the owner is just wonderful! We couldn’t have found a better rental. Mr. Bighouse, the owner, met us in the rain, where our water taxi delivered us with umbrellas! He then proceeded to show us through the unit and how to work everything. Nello and his family were the perfect host for our 2 day visit Venice. Nello met us at the water taxi stop and got us settled in to the apartment.
