Dans l'ensemble : Le lit queen est très confortable. Les chambres sont grandes, mais la cuisine petite et encombrée. L'appartement a besoin d'un rafraîchissement général (grand ménage, peinture). Sofa très tachés, coussins brisés, rideaux tachés de salle de bain. Les chaises de la salle à manger sont très inconfortables. Côté cuisine: Laveuse à vaisselle était hors d'usage. Dès le premier café, nous avons dû laver plusieurs tasses sales et avons remarqué qu'il y avait un bout de temps qu'un bon nettoyage de l'intérieur des armoires avait été négligé ainsi que du comptoir, où les marques brunes de la machine expresso n'avaient pas été récurrées, idem pour les napperons de table. Cela s'explique mal avec les 60 euros exigés aux locataires, pour faire faire le ménage de l'appartement. Un ménage des produits périmés (huile, vinaigre, farine...) laissés dans les armoires serait à faire et désencombrer au moins une tablette dans la cuisine pour les clients. Conclusion, nous avons nettoyé, que ce que nous avions besoin et laissé le reste de côté. Côté environnement: Vers 7h, les travailleurs font la livraison sous vos fenêtres. Si vous les ouvrez, il se peut que vous respiriez une odeur d'essence émanant de "certains" vaporretos, pas tous. Communication: Excellente avec le propriétaire absent, mais qui était présent au bout du fil pour nous diriger vers l'appartement. The area is lovely (very local), the apartment is nice sized (plenty of room for two people to spread out). There are multiple balconies facing three directions, with a couple directly over the canal.Check in was easy and we got a quick walk through with the owner. They even accomodated us with slightly early check in and a late checkout as we were headed across the city.The supermarket was less than a minute walk and right before that there was a small deli/cheese shop called Pane Latte that was fantastic.The washer was outside on the balcony but no issue. We used a drying hanger in the house which was fine.The kitchen was small but functional. It even had an oven which we don't see often. The pots and pans were basic and the pans were very scratched and need replacement. While we loved the location, this was also a major negative. If you are an early riser, you will love this place. Our issue was that every day except Sunday, boats arrived and docked right next to the apartment starting at 7am for loading and unloading. It was impossible to sleep through the noise of the motors, the cranes, the workers and the pallet jacks that were supplying the local supermarket and other stores and homes. This usually lasted 3-4 hours but sometimes longer. ##### Dave A. The pictures do not do it justice. The owner’s colleague, Orial, met us at the apartment and gave us a quick orientation and made sure we had his contact number. The kitchen worked well for our cooking needs. There’s a large refrigerator, 4 burner stovetop, microwave, kettle, small moka, plenty of utensils, and an adequate number pots and pans. We did several loads of clothes in the washer and dried them on both the large drying rack and the clothesline over the canal. The apartment is well kept and decorated. The updated bathroom has a fantastic tile and stone shower with rainfall head and shower wand, lots of space and plenty of water pressure. The king-sized bed was really comfortable and there were lots of blankets available if needed. We spent a good deal of time on the private loggia just off the master bedroom. Whether enjoying a coffee or aperitivo, it was a perfect place to relax. The wi-fi worked flawlessly throughout the apartment. Others have mentioned early morning noise. We did not find it a problem. Each morning at 7:00 am a cargo boat delivered supplies for the nearby Coop and then the refuse boat would pull up so the garbage men could do their job. This is all a part of life in Venice; embrace it. Besides the Coop around the corner, there is a well-stocked green grocer just down the calle. You can find several restaurants nearby. Our family enjoyed the location of this vrbo - right on a canal in a quiet neighborhood - a little off the beaten path but close to a market and walkable to many Venice highlights. Directions were great; it was easy to find. Mornings are busy with boxes being delivered to the building, which is cool to see but also loud. Though the rest of the day/evenings it's quiet. Kitchen is tight and a bit cluttered, with no cabinet space to store your goods in. We woulds stay again and recommend it to others who want a great spot in Venice. ##### Annemarie P.
