« Our only wish for this stay would have been to stay longer. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We had a bit of trouble figuring out the stovetop but Kenji our host was quick to send instructions. He was very understanding when arrived early from Tulum (we forgot about the time change!) and let us drop our things off while we checked out Ek Balam. Thank you Kenji! »

« The village of Uayma is small and friendly with a gorgeous colonial church restored about 15 years ago. This property is directly across from the church with a magnificent view. The photos do not do justice to the detail and care that clearly went into restoring this hotel. The craftsmanship is truly a work of art. We spent Christmas here and felt we were living in a palace. »

« The property was rented out to another family by the owner but I got charged anyways and no one told me until I got there, no wonder directions weren’t accurate , called several given numbers and even called the owner number and won’t answer, turn phone off. I don’t recommend this scammer! »

« The owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect :) had everything you needed. There was also a closeline out the back door for drying clothes that was really handy (And hammock hooks in the room which was cool). The yard is beautiful and has tons of greenery, birds and gheckos. Frida Kahlo the cat that lives there is very friendly and cute. :) The door also had multiple lock options and felt very safe, and the property was only a 10 minute walk from the city center. »
